You did everything correctly, but in V2 levels are now replacing original colobot levels, both missions and free levels (as well as plus). P.S. Reminder that russian language is available. P.P.S. Right, there are also your custom made programs that the game may load for bots regardless of whether you made them in levels from a mod or not, in case of not using a separate profile.

In v2.5 there is a big new level and many other changes! Perhaps this is the last update. I have no plans of continuing to update this mod, maybe unless something is broken in another Colobot: Gold Edition update...

To be honest it's for one reason only - when you create a new player profile your game progress is reset to the very first mission. Otherwise some missions are already unlocked while some are not, and I think it's somewhat messy. So having specific profile for the mod and enabling and disabling it while switching user is only for convenience sake. There is nothing else to consider!

I found how to attach addons to mod, but it made them disappear from colobot addons section. This change is not reversible, though.

Alternatively you can go around on github or official discord and ask people for their binary versions, at least devs themselves and everyone who made commits to dev branch must have these.

There used to be compiled.colobot.info where fresh binaries were already available for dowloading, but that place went down and I don't even know if they were workable or not.

There was no official release of the game yet, you have to to compile colobot from dev branch according to instructions in INSTALL files. I did it both on linux and on windows (with MSYS2) and it worked. However:
1. Savegames in 0.2 are somewhat broken and bots may start doing wrongs things. But if you don't use savegames, everything is fine. It's not just in the mod, it's in any game levels.
2. A note of warning - seeing that Terranova Team themselves still keep silence about it, I guess they would be pretty unhappy if someone were to go around spreading screenshots from the yet unreleased game.
