It's a bit funky to install with Steam, it's true.
but the correct way to do it isn't rocket science either.

All you have to do is specify the correct installation path, i.e D\:Programs\Steam\steamapps\common\medieval ii total war\mods\CALL OF WARHAMER (the last folder isn't specified by default in the installer, so do it manually)

then just rename the folder into 'americas' or w/e, naming the original 'americas' something different like 'americas1'.

Go to the launcher, and select the americas campaign. Enjoy.
