We are an independent team of developers from Poland. Polished Games has been created by Krzysztof Dadełło and currently boasts over 10 members (artists, programmers, designers). We debuted in 2021 with a warmly received RPG titled Realms of Magic. At the moment we're working on a smaller project, Be My Horde, and the Realms of Magic sequel. Our primary focus is creating fun, engaging titles fully independent of the influences of shareholders or big companies. We make games we want.

Thank you very much for your feedback!

Thank you for recommending Nom Nom Galaxy, I haven't heard about it before. I'll check it out, for research reasons :)

Every game is moddable but some games support modding through special programs (like our Modder) that don't require any programming skills. In most games you can create server mods but they can't change core elements of the game. In our game client and server mods are both on the server side. For example you can make sci-fi mod with new textures, weapons, enemies and sound - our game will download and install required files. I haven't seen many games that allow this, none in the sandbox genre.

You mentioned that there are NPCs in Terraria and Starbound, however in those games NPCs are static and don't do very much. In our game every NPC lives it's life, have a job and daily routine. When you create your own city you can manage your NPCs, pretty much like in Dwarf Fortress: they can mine ores, hunt animals, farm food, craft items, build buildings etc. You can also attack other cities (both player and NPC) and loot, conquer or destroy them.

We haven't talked about the story much because it's in very early stage and we are not sure how many elements of it we can have at release. We are planning to do two different quests types: randomly generated quests (like farmer asking you to kill nearby wolves or rescue his wife from bandits) and hand crafted quests (like main storyline and guild/faction storylines).

I agree that our video is a little slow and without much action - it's because our game is in very early stage, we recently started working on combat system.

Thanks again for your suggestions.

Realms of Magic was build from the ground up with multiplayer in mind :) Every player will be able to host his own server.
