Hi! I'm a Quake mapper. If you're doing a Quake mod of any kind, please feel free to send me a message and I promise to get back to you. If you're after some maps for Left 4 Quake, please go to my download section. There's a four map campaign mode, two survival maps and a test map that I made to see what the PSP could handle. Check the config.cfg in the ID folder and make sure its not double bound. Also there should be a Config.rar there, delete the other and select unrar here.

Hey!
If your playing the PSP version, its buggy, check the readme. Basically you have to load the maps manually through the console.

Also with either version check your Config.cfg file to see if your key config has been overwitten.

Hi!

The survival modes where created as a proof of concept to just see if I could get the idea working.

In Survival Tunnel the idea is that you grab your gear then press the switch next to the door. The door is time-locked so this forces you to fight off the alerted Horde till it finally opens.

Improvements to this would be to have the door open extremely slowly as if jammed or having somebody behind it trying to fix it (and giving status updates) so it will open. Neither of these ideas will work with the present PSP engine.

In Survival Shack the idea is to grab your gear and barricade the doors with furniture to stop the incoming zombies and allow you to pick them off.

At the moment you need to touch the furniture for it to move (as if pushed) into position and then after a short period they move back requiring you to push (well, touch) them again to maintain the barricade.

Improvements to this would be to actually have elements that you could pickup/push into place and that had a (health amount) lifespan before breaking and letting the horde in. Also not possible at the moment.

This mods in an embarressing state and really requires a coder to work (magic!) bugs out and implement some stuff.

Unfortunately, I am but a lowly mapper.
I haven't touched the code, models or textures.
I took what I was given and knocked together some maps.

I just woke up over here in Aus, I will test what I have on my two PSPs and then post a link up here in an hour or two.

Not dead yet...

I'm a member of the dev team and with any luck I will be posting a four map campaign and survival mode in a day or two.

I'll be honest, this was completed 6 months ago but life and other projects got in the way.

I'm contacting some of the other members to see if they object to me releasing this. I doubt it as I don't think any other work has been done in the time I have been away (or will be in the future).

It's a bit unfinished but I would rather the work be out there then it staying in dev limbo forever.

Your dead right, of course!

For anyone else having trouble :

when looking at a mini-fighter aim straight forward, press E to enter the vehicle, then immediately hold Space down to gain lift.

Good work, love the game.

Problem :
When I enter a stationary mini fighter to have a fly about it just explodes killing me.
Is this a known bug?
