You can just use the light version together with the New World Order/Cold War Mod, they should not conflict with each other.
To install this mod follow these steps:
1. Locate your Victoria 2 directory.
2. Inside there is a folder called 'mod'.
3. Extract the files from this archive to the mod folder.
4. Start the Victoria 2 launcher and select the 'Iron Workshop Vanilla Enhancement Suit'.
5. Start the game.

We shall see, but unless ancient Rome had planes Shoch and Awe is going to have to be something very different :)
Unfortunately no,
Since the map is such a core concept of the game which affects pretty much EVERYTHING (except for techs maybe) I would be required to create two versions of the mod in order to have two maps available.
Keeping this up is not worth the time or effort. So with Beta 7 you will only be playing on the new map which was downsized from 14,000 provinces to around 6000.
However areas which have strategic importance or were historically battle zones will have a proper amount of provinces to allow tactical and strategic planning and fighting (plenty of provinces to fight in Russia).
Right now my limit is to go as high as 10,000... Anything beyond that will probably cause the game to lag so the mod is open to additions in the future as far as the map is concerned.
Sounds like the installer can't find your game directory.
Could you please do the following:
Locate the launcher.exe file
Right click on it
Copy the path you see in 'location' and paste it here...
At what point of the installation does this happen?
Did you point the installer to the root HOI3 folder as the installer instructs?
Probably something wrong with the installation, try a clean install of the base game and then apply the mod again.
Thanks for the tip, I might try it myself while playing :)
Enjoy the ride!
Your welcome, It is also my favorite of all the X games :)
I may post updates from time to time but no promises.
Make sure you installed the mod into the root folder. Where the exe files are.
Also, do not mix the mod with other mods.
Will be announced asap.
Both, the HOI4 version is in development.
I understand that and be sure I am very sensitive on this issue considering the fact how many players from Serbia play this mod but I can only do so much :)
Keep in touch closer to release, I liked your Lets Play videos and would be glad if you could make one when we have a stable working verwsion prior to release.
Hi, it is impossible to play around so freely with country names. The only ways to change a country's name are:
1. Create a new TAG thus causing the game to load another country for such a small reason.
2. Change the country ideology - Which is weird since when the party changes the country changes back to the original name which doesn't make much sense.
The name Serbia Montenegro was chosen since it was the last name used before the country broke apart into Serbia and Montenegro, as developers we can't always satisfy everyone but its our job to see where a certain accuracy can be overlooked for the sake of overall game stability from which all players can benefit.
It will be better.
We might consider doing that when we work exactly how we want nuclear weapons to work which will not be included in the initial release.
1. Green parties will be available and if you get one in power it will reduce your IC output.
2. Popularity will be set historically but once you play it can go either way.
3. Communist states will have elections but they will be used to select a new leader each 10 years from the rulling communist party.
Yes, major nations will get unique techs.
No offense but your standard for "perfect work" seems pretty low...
One of the purposes of the mod is to allow players to change history not just repeat it which is why it will start at the year 2000.
That is the Hearts of Iron III version, the HOI IV has not been released yet.
1. Finland has been fixed.
2. If Finland officially claims it sure, if not - no.
Mexico's presidents have already been added.
We disagree on your previous point and we disagree that the Call of Duty MW games are good.
You asked if its possible to include it and you got your answer, there is nothing further to add.
For initial release only the major nations will have national focuses (USA, Russia and China). In successive releases more nations will receive their unique national focus trees.
