Wow just read your story, definitely won't recommend changing that inspiration, I think people may have been referring to some mechanics, like hitchhiking and buying repairs or something, definitely an amazing demo and more importantly an inspiring story.
I have a brother wrongly imprisoned in Russia so the themes really hit home.

So upon playing the game with my Wife for a few hours I have to say I really appreciate the amount of depth this has especially since it's a EARLY demo, certainly alot of mystery going on, been sharing stuff with some people on Reddit. But I'd really appreciate this not going full on ARG
If I had to ask for any obvious improvements it would be better controller support, more setting (MOTION BLUR TOGGLE) ;), and maybe slightly clearer objectives. I'm sure you know the audio needs work but you've still made an incredible atmosphere.
All in all I think this has so much potential and I would love to pay to support your work, this along with VR would be amazing but fleshing out the stuff and ideas you have here would be an amazing game.

So I've been following this game for as long as it's been posted about online. I understand the Dev is going through a bunch of stuff so I'm glad I finally get to enjoy his painstakingly hard work. I have a decent amount of experience in ue4 but no programming skills I could offer, anywho keep up the hard effort. And maybe check out dead end road the Indie game for some inspiration
Its a great labor of love you can see, I just don't want it to get washed away in a see of other mods :o
So my last comment was removed, I don't know why, so I guess I'll repost it.
The game is a Pretty well made map of the First few levels in RE:2, I would also like to point out its in First person and feels like Half-life 2's gameplay.
A recommendation is that it be in third person like the original game, that would give th mod alot more weight alone. I'm NOT trying to insult the work this is just constructive criticism. I've actually managed to get 3rd person working on your game if your interested :)

This is mostly a remake,of all things to go dead I didn't expect this. Also puting "HD remake" on a game that was HD to begin with doesn't make any sense.
Sadly its horribly optimized right now :(
Hopefully not an SH2 story knock off.
