Though the Allies use the Cardinal primarily for transport work and observation, the ARVN has opted to use the larger Bluejay for transport work while using the Cardinal as a gunships to escort other helicopters in. Rocket pods filled with "flash" phosphorous rockets damage and blind enemy units, while the twin M400 automatic grenade launchers lay down an impressive sheet of explosive covering fire. If that weren't enough, these vehicles are often loaded with flares, used to confuse heat-seeking weapons and ruin enemy gunner's night vision, giving the other helicopters more time to land.
The Cardinal needs a cool alternate name to mark out it's begunned state. Any suggestions?
Recycle the name Pacifier or Harbinger?
Then people would get confused.
Ooh - "new" unit!
Five second brainstorm nets me the name "Rattler". The snake isn't native to Vietnam, though, so "Python" is an alternative. Other fauna names of Vietnam that sound cool are "Cormorant", "Kouprey", "Muntjac", "Banteng", and the "Shikra", a hawk.
I would say valkyrie if that wasn't taken some days ago x(
