In the extensive river deltas of Vietnam, patrolling the waterways is vital for controlling territory. The Vietcong frequently travel by water, hidden in civilian boats, so a method of opposing this movement is important. Fortunately for the ARVN, the US coast guard operated a small riverboat perfect for the purpose. Light enough to be transported by helicopter, nimble enough to react to threats as they occur, and with a fair-sized weapon mount, these vehicles have been so effective that Allied forces in Vietnam have begun using them as well. The ARVN version uses a high-powered flamethrower, perfect for burning Charlie out of the jungle, clearing foilage, or setting the wooden riverboats used by the VC ablaze.
The pieces are coming together. Not much to go on the ARVN now, infantry not counted. Great job! Really nice boat.
THAT...is really, really, cool.
A flamethrower boat... so cool!
Model is excellent too!
So do Charlies get a boat?
