Sorry the game is Early Access so the "alpha" is the live steam build.
Sorry the game is Early Access so the "alpha" is the live steam build.
The tech tree has been trimmed down. It now reflects only advances that can be made (in the next build v1.3). Hopefully this build will be live by the end of the weekend.
This build will include the watchtowers and bomb balloons.
Bomb dropping balloons and defensive watchtowers will be added to FTF soon.
Still working out bugs, but getting close...

You are probably right. I've had a particle trail follow the arrows just didn't get it right. Just need to keep tweaking it.
The watchtower has made it into the game (not live yet). The intention is that the tower is a ranged defense tower...
But what should it shoot?
Arrows make the most sense, but can be hard to see. Same with small bullets. Cannons? Glowing magic balls? Lightning bolts?
Would love some input.
A stream of AI controlled bombers.
The AI update is getting closer. :)
Concept for a watch tower - the second FTF stretch goal.
Just a few hours left of the summer sale!
Come check it out on Steam: Store.steampowered.com
Makes me smile to see the old art!
A higher quality video can be found on YouTube - IndieDB uploads and seems to alter the image quality...

I have been playing with the lighting and image effects - its much brighter now.
Three level of graphics settings.
Most notable is the change in shadows from medium to high. Also from lowest to medium is the loss of secondary texture on the terrain that adds some "depth" to the terrain.
Most noticeable performance change is from lowest to medium.
Working to revamp the "upgrade system" into a more traditional tech tree.
Upgrades cost will depend on the total number upgrades already purchased. The costs will likely be too high to purchase all the upgrades requiring players to choose a strategy.
Its a work in progress...
Would love to here ideas for potential upgrades.
The release date of FTF is still a ways off, but took some time to start making some promotional images.
Agreed! That image took a desktop computer almost 10 seconds to render... Would make for a pretty bad frame rate :)
I had something like that but couldn't get it right. Your sketch might be a better take on it. Thanks!
The structure on the left feels like it needs a roof... Can't quite get it right.
Would love input?
I totally see what you mean. What about arches instead of doors?
I'll play around with adding more color and detail. Appreciate the feedback!
The model is a WIP. A new model will be add to allow easier visual differentiation between unit types
Invites to the alpha testing have been sent via Steam. If you signed up check for an invite from "One Wheel Studio"
One step closer to a public release!
Single player games will function as challenges (achievements) and tutorials.
SP levels may not make it to the EA release, but will be there for the full Steam release.
Testing the new target markers (prior to any feedback).
Catapult accuracy is not perfect - by design - it will be player upgrade-able.
Its a WIP - but siege weapons now have a "death" animation.
Working on some new target markers. Which looks best to you?
New flag area of control markers.
Now with 50% less retina burning brightness!
Make sure you check out the steam page too.
Often similar content, but generally more going on at the Steam community page.
New UI style in the works.
Would love feedback.
You're probably right on the sky color. Lots to tweak in the visual realm.
Glad to hear you like the colorful trees.
I finally have a good and easy to use GIF tool, so hopefully more will be on the way.

Just one guy making low poly games in his spare time. Currently working on "Fracture the Flag" - working title - that was inspired by the classic board game "Crossbows and Catapults." The game is physics based and supports multiplayer.
