Indie, short for independant. Independent video game development is the process of creating video games without the financial support of a video game publisher. So how does a publisher mean nothing?

You can't draw a line and say "that's indie and that's not" based on your own little "philosophy".

No publisher? Then it's indie. A publisher, then it's not indie.

Wouldn't a "big fat studio with millions of dollars" using no publisher mean that it's going "indie"? Which is short for independant.

If anything, I'm glad to see a studio break free from publishers.

Hi

I was looking around youtube for a good video to show gameplay from Metal Fatigue and I ended up here because I saw others who are as much into MF as I am.

I saw that you want to remake MF and that's all nice and good, but I'm more interested in only using it as an inspiration source.

I want to create my own game with universe and story to go along with it while keeping most of MF's gameplay. I have however ran into some small problems, and the biggest one is that I'm wondering how MF handled the Combots. Were they a single model, if they were, how was it done? If they were four different models, how was it handled with the bones and animations?

Unfortunatley I'm not interested in joining a team that'll remake MF, I'm just curious if someone of you have an answer of how they did the Combots.

Anyone who wants to help me is free to do so, but mind you, it's not a remake.

Or if we're going to get picky, the Homonculus in FMA are based upon the seven sins, so are these characters. However, the visual style seem to be inspired partly by the homonculus in FMA, but I'd say that's only Gluttony and Envy.

Looks nice.

Clowns that are punched many times would sway harder and harder, then if it hits a zombie, the zombie would fly to the ground. Could that work?

Blue? I'm pretty sure it's Red in HW, although, the Splazor is only there for gameplay issues, so are the rechargable shields.

Bet it's a weak MAC they have on SoF, since it's actually a refitted colony ship. They can calibrate that stuff.

Anyway, lookiing gooood.

I think taiit refers to Mech Assault 2, where you could hijack other mechs with the battlesuit.

yeah, Co-op vs Co-op :D

You know what I meant though?

X Human players vs Y Human players, playing capture the something, deathmatch and what not, with NPC zombies there in the mix, hunting flesh and brains.

What I meant was normal multiplayer, all players human, zombies are NPC and just roam the map, until something happens ^^

Options is never a bad thing. Those who don't like the fact about children could turn it off, and replace them with something else.

This looks awesome.

One thing I was thinking about though, how would normal Multiplayer be like if there were zombies on the map?

Capture the Meat.

Each team has a fridge, this the zombies ignor, cause the meat is frozen and don't smell. Then, an opponent takes the meat, now, for a while, there's no problem cause the meat is still frozen, but the longer it's out in the open, the more it starts to smell, attracting more and more zombies.

Hold the Meat.

Ever played Oddball on Halo? Similair, hold an item, in this case, meat. Zombie come to get you, as do the other players.

Would probably be fun.
