Attention everyone reading this who currently does not have this mod, get it. I have been around war band modding since before most of these mods were released, an have watched them slowly become the gems that they are today. I have a list of mods, that are above all else when it comes to war band modding, and this, this is the pinnacle. The list:
1. 1257 ad (This mod is absolutely amazing, it gives the medieval feel that is hinted at in war band, but brings it to the real world, using a European/North African map that ties in many cool features such as the ability to start crusades as well as two different varying recruiting systems, both with their pros and cons.)
2. (Tied) 1860'S Old America (If you prefer to hole up in an abandoned fort outpost and make a Custer like last stand going out in a blaze of glory, watching as the hundreds upon hundreds of native americans pour down on your location, this is the game for you. Tying in the interesting aspects of the past colonialism with the new conflict of the Civil War, it truly creates and interesting atmosphere. You can then completely change the game, by abandoning the East with its conflict and going out to the free range West with a completely different feel to the whole game. It is one of the most well made and dedicated mods you will find, it is a must have.)
2. (Tied) Floris (This is what war band should have been in the first place. I can't describe all that it adds as it adds an absolutely ridiculous amount of material. Armor, weapons, people, quests, ways to play the game completely different than native war band. It is essentially Native 3.0 (2.0 would have been to small of a change) and if you find yourself getting bored by the easy repetition of Native, this could be a game changer for you, and it will (as it has with me) get you right back into the original Native storyline, just with tons of extra added goodies for you. Here is a feature list for all those interested: Moddb.com )
3. Gekokujo (This is a fantastic medieval Japanese mod that truly puts you in control. With the struggling warring clans of Japan surrounding you you can try to find your own way, or go about making one rise to power and take control of Japan. Each with their own unique way to play it is an interesting change of pace to normal war band, and rivals 1257 in its graphics as well as the items that were added, as most, if not all native items, don't necessarily make sense in medieval Japan. Definitely give it a try if you are interested in Japan or just a more clan like war system.)
4. Brytenwalda (This was the mod that was then made into the new Vikings Conquest standalone, as it was made into its own game, I don't feel I truly need to explain it, but if you are interested in the game, here is a link: ( Taleworlds.com ) The dlc, I will admit, was buggy at first, but now that they have wrinkled out all the bugs and such, it is one of the best games out there, and it all came from the mod Brytenwalda.)
