I am working on a hl2 mod. It won't be for everyone but I hope it will be an interesting experience for those who can get into it.
Thanks everyone, you are an amazing fan base. For years you kept me going. I truly hope I will not disappoint anyone.
Optional now, removed by default.
Haha, never heard of it! Nice.
Yes, I will make a good game first I hope, would rather spend time on this than a demo. Also these days not much use for demos because anyone can look on YouTube quickly at game-play footage and decide if they want the game lol.
Something to showcase some of the gameplay like Half Life Uplink would be nice maybe if there is interest after the game comes out. No promises though because time is a big enemy.
It's OK, I'm always looking for feedback. Glad you liked the beta. :)
Replace lee hyori with myo hyori... why not...
It insta-kills them if you toss it at them.
3) All music is original in the final version so there are no copyright issues, I plan on releasing the OST on Steam separately.
If you want to donate, the link is on my YouTube channel. You don't have to, up to you.
Epic. And this is just a beta. Just wait for the full release.
Thank you for the kind words. Star Wars (The old stuff) was a big inspiration.
You know you map too much when you see a solid pink surface anywhere IRL and you think automatically it's a missing texture.
Anyway now I eagerly await what the testers will say, obviously that's what matters. Do people like it? I gave it to a few people who know source engine stuff inside out so I know if they say its good it is.
bink - i hope can remove as i don't use the video intro.
miles sound system- 4000 - not sure this can be avoided.
havoc physics engine- 25,000. (free if the game is 10 or less but i am not sure going that low is the answer..? I read that underselling is just as bad as overpricing)
Source seems free at this point but who knows. I changed all the assets tho lol just to be sure.
Mere fact that there is a fanbase helps a lot I think. :)
Not bad... :)
Bring home the mother lode. :))
You'll see. ;)
Yes, I must. Especially now.
From what I understand the way it is implemented has big similarities to how it was done in ES. But since this is not a multiplayer game and the space confrontation is just one set piece of many obviously it's different in G String.
Best scene in the Attack of the Clones. The Slave One is really an interesting design. Why they can't come up with such ships nowadays at Disney/Lucasfilm? All the new vehicles are bigerer and sometimes betterer versions of old ones.
Hope you're well, and hopefully soon you can test stuff. ;)
Thanks. Really encouragement like this keeps me going more than anything. :)
I hope the final version won't disappoint.
That's why having my own IP would be good already like Prospekt and that other one...
I just don't want to pursue licences until I am done mapping. I know full well this is not how "it's done" but I really feel keeping money out of it until at least the maps are done will be beneficial in the long run.
It's not that I am rich, I am broke but for now I can manage so I am in a unique position to just make this properly without worrying about finances. It's a unique situation so maybe the product will be unique for it.
Something most devs cannot do. Usually there is deadlines, employees etc... I want to make G String the best possible while I can then worry about other stuff like contacting people and licences, later I don't care if money is involved because the main story has been built and it won't be damaged anymore by financial interests. Right now I will only go as far as donations when it comes to money.
Stairs: the game.
Stairwell Climbing Simulator 2019. All stairs, all the time.
First level: ten floors. Keep going for the epic 500 floor final boss in Dubai.
Do you have what it takes? :0
