New files scheduled for release on Monday once/if they are approved by Desura.
BTW this has taken a solid week of my free time testing/coding/figuring out... so don't be so ungrateful!

... I wish someone would build a MCF for SD2.0 on Linux
If you're on Ubuntu/Debian there's a PPA here:
Launchpad.net
Are you able to 'cut and paste' the debug information from the non-responding command prompt into a forum posting? What GFX do you have?
Just to clarify (as people seem confused) SpeedDreams is playable with keyboard, mouse, joystick, gamepad or gaming wheel - you need to use the 'player config' menu and define which controls you want to use.
This is explained in this video:
Indiedb.com
Also if it doesn't work for you please post something in the forum, we'd like to get you going but can't from a "it doesn't work" comment.
Simon.
Soon... PPA now has the 2.0 'debs' so people can install 'standalone' if they want:
Launchpad.net
If anyone wants to provide a MCF for Linux/Linux64 that would be very welcome.
The camera views are grouped; driver views are on F2 (press again to cycle through them), car views on F3...etc
There's also a help page on F1 ;-)
If the DOS box remains open you could try 'cut and pasting' the contents of that to see if it gives any clues. Which system are you on?
At present there is not a 'garage' menu, which would be the place to tweak/tune cars. We're planning to include this functionality in SD3.0.
The parameters which the garage would change are held in XML files, so you could edit these by hand if you really wanted to.
You can change the playing keys/controls under the 'player config', to use keyboard/mouse/joystick/wheels..... see:
Indiedb.com
Some feature keys (ie. camera select, zoom, etc) can not be changed.
It _does_ work on Linux (and is fantastic - I might be biased there ;).
We've not prepared the Linux packages yet (we're a very small team), but if you want to build from source you can grab it from Sourceforge:
Sourceforge.net
When the packages are ready they will be here:
Launchpad.net
And, of course, on Desura.
I believe that the Linux packages are not yet built for 2.0, hopefully they will be available very soon.
a few issues...
1) the new Desura package is labelled RC, but is 2.0 (r4867)
2) there are 2 RC version listed for Win32 within the Desura client - the first of which doesn't download at all, but 2nd does
3) when first run had to reconfigure for my screen (under Options/Display)
Other than that it looks good for Win7 (32bit).
I uploaded a few 'tutorial' videos:

We do support gamepads/keyboard/mouse control, but yes you're much better off with wheel and pedals.... you can tweak the control behaviour using 'Steering Sens.' and 'Speed Sens.'
sad you feel like that but it's supposed to be a simulator, not an action packed arcade game.
Are you able to cut and paste the console listing into a bug report (on Sourceforge.net)?
We're working on the last few details for SD2.0, and then it's 'all hands on deck' to add in more features for SD3...

SD2.0 final is coming soon (end Feb?), looks like this is the alpha...
