I have an idea for someone who has UT99 for converting new UMX files from OGG. Since I cannot find my own source for UnrealEd 2.1 for doing the conversion myself I thought I would ask if anyone would like to collaborate for a music replacement mod. I previously had done so for HP2 because it used Ogg Vorbis files, but this game has stumped me since the proprietary UMX files are a very tricky beast and require the use of UnrealEd 2.1 for UT99 in order to convert audio files to UMX for use with HP1. The aim of the mod is to introduce as much of the original orchestral soundtrack as possible into HP1. In HP2 and HPPOA both, the better sound capabilities of the machines they were played on made it easier to implement the orchestral mixes (In HP2 the orchestral vs synth track ratio was about 50-50 and HPPOA was completely Orchestral) instead of 16 bit PCM wav synth substitutes for the orchestral soundtrack (a bit better than midi, but crappy nonetheless), which was the majority of the soundtrack in HP1. This replacement aims to make HP1 sound, music-wise, just as good as the later games. Especially with the HP2 mod that I did, I am amazed that things sound much better and make the game a bit more immersive, coming back to it after years of collecting dust on my hard drive. If this could be achieved in the UMX files of HP1 too, I would love to do it.

This ship is only obtainable from the Dutchman Quest which is started by talking to the old man in Bridgetown Tavern.

Cyclic Redundancy Check Occurs when a mini program checks files that are in the process of being stored, retrieved or transmitted. An Error to that effect could mean that your hard disk needs a defragmentation or an error check. It could also be possible that uncompressed that this game will not fit on the storage device you extracted to. This little how-to guide explains the error in detail and how to fix it:
Wikihow.com

As the guide page says this problem is a serious one and must be addressed to avoid potential data loss or even a total system failure.

I apologize for my extremely late reply. Perhaps your download was corrupted or you downloaded from the wrong location. The backup copy I have on my Google Drive was the zip I used to upload to this website. I can confirm that this version has the two files and no longer has the program.zip archive in the modules folder. The version you might have caught was an early version of v4.0 or something similar. The file you should download is using the Download Now Button on this screen only. If you clicked on the flash ads or other things that frequently appear on this site, just use ad-blocker to ensure the right button is clicked.
Also to anyone having problems with windows based stop working messages. These do happen for some reason, they are random and happen only on startup. You sometimes have to attempt three or four times to boot it up. In addition, restarting your machine can fix this issue temporarily.

There are a lot of sub-developments under the PiratesAhoy umbrella. Some coders are specific to AOP and COAS, where the code is very similar; whereas POTC, while using the same programming language, has a fundamentally different approach to implementation. This along with sparse commenting (in Russian) makes it very hard to modify.

I personally never have tried AA, besides the built in options. I know the lack of AA is annoying, but in those days (i.e. 2006) it just wasn't available. I don't know what you can do to remedy this since I am a coder for the 175 C program files in the program folder. What you are asking is controlled from modules or the core *.exe file. Not only am I not able to access those files/decompile them in order to check it out, I also don't know what to look for since I haven't modified those files before. Chezjfrey knows these particular parts more than I do so I will give him a message on PiratesAhoy.net and see what he says.

The underlying code is different in POTC than AOP, however I might take a crack at it if I have the time.

Could you post a visuals and sounds only version of this mod? Or could you tell me at least where you put the sounds in the mod so I can install that portion into COD files?

Modder01 - - 17 comments @ NZ:P Original WAW sounds for DEMO 1.0

In the meantime I have a waw sound dump that includes all weapons for waw zombies. Some of the zombies sounds failed to be converted from the ff files, however the majority of sounds are still valid in the archive. I filtered out the sounds that didn't work. It took me 3 hours of work and a lot of patience. Any of the missing sounds will be found in my mod (ex. power switch (filter out samantha and tank dempsey's voices) and mystery box get bear sound.) Hope you enjoy:

I have compared my sounds to your current weapon sounds, the reload sounds are OK, but the shooting sounds are lacking. I have high quality WAW sounds for weapons in my mod for 1.1 Beta of NZP. You have my permission to use them for your mod. My NZP Forum name is "BlackOpsRichtoffen". You can find the sounds here:

I'm a fan of nzp, especially the pc version. Though I can play it on the PSP emulator, I am god mode on the beta 1.1 PC version. I'm not a member of your forums, but I would like to know if you still have the source for beta 1.1 so that I can define new sound events. Because some of the sound events that I can see from the progs.dat file when viewed in Notepad++ are not actually playing ingame and I would like to know why. I've seen other members of your forums do custom progs.dat files for custom soundmods and they work perfectly, however I need a custom def done for all perk machines, a fix for dog sounds, crawling and running def for zombies and a fix for the ambient called nzp.wav. I'm also wondering if it's also possible to play a sound if the bear comes up in the mystery box.

I'm getting bugs and problems. One you have to sometimes throw a grenade for the game to reset zombie damage models otherwise that can be shot through without dying and still can damage you. Another is that the last 1 zombie on higher levels are no where to be found and you have free reign of the map apparently on rounds 6+. Occasionally the zombie finally spawns and you move to the next level, but otherwise no. The no-spawn of the last zombie may be because I have gotten all the perk sodas and am wielding an MP-40 and a trench shotgun.

The cheat codes are easy to do, they are the same as when the game was first introduced. IGN or some other game site has these codes. Enter these codes as your ship name to use them. They can be stacked, but be warned about some errors I do not know about due to unavoidable star-force damage to the C++ Storm Engine 2.5.

This does remove enough Star-force protection to allow running of the game, however the removal does cause interference in the game's code making it nearly impossible to find a few of the undetectable errors/bugs.

This might be because you have viruses or spyware infecting your system. A freeze and CTD may also be common in the surrender dialog if used in rapid succession (no way to fix it).

Again this new iteration in version 4.0 should fix these minor bugs, but if they are still present, as I stated above, it is due to star-force wreaking havoc on the storm engine. The only irreversable problems I've had are:

1. The occasional or regular "ALT+TAB" glitch on the first start-up of the game.

2. Layered Music which eventually causes a CTD.

Version 4.0 should fix this, sorry I didn't reply sooner. If it still has this problem, it is a bug that comes with the limitations presented while using an outdated version of storm engine and requiring a crack to play it due to star-force causing havoc when you first install the game.
