Kindly please, can anyone make a tutorial on how to make your own sourcemod patch?

If ever, by any chance (hopefully not) this mod won't make it to the end, would you release at least what you had made till that moment? So that your work won't get forgotten and get reused by various modders etc? Many ppl that abandoned their work/mods had a bunch of great assets prepared already and they just trashed everything.
