I need to practice doing larger models.
For this practice model I will focus on what level of model detail looks good, what size texture looks good (and how much overlapping to use in the unwrap in order to save texture space), and finally the all important specular map, especially large glass areas.
I do not design buildings (or anything) and as such, I do not feel the need to model the structure in a way that would definitively work as a usable structure (ie entrances etc). In other words I do not feel the need to elevate this, or any additional structures, beyond looking like a collection of shapes thrown together.
Since this is a practice model, there is no pressure that this will be used by a mod.
It should be obvious what structure this will lead into, provided this practice goes reasonably well.
This is going to take a long time!
I hope you will be able to finish it and get a result you desire!
Thanks!
I looked on original image. There should be dark blocks connecting these "glass" parts. Look closely and acurately. There are some block can be seen. But with them building looks better. Also, looks like it is another strange scaling, because it is supposed to be bigger (look at small bridge).

I do not see it (when looking at it zoomed in). There might be something connecting them, but I do not see a block.
Maybe a pillar, but the shading I can see (on zooms that both use, and do not use smoothing)make it hard to be sure.
In other words I would be doing my own 'design' and I have no interest in that.
I do not know what you mean with strange scaling and what bridge you speak of.
