I'm an ex-student working on my portfolio. I really should have done more while I was at uni, but hey thats life. I think the direction I am going for is environment artist, ergo the corpious amounts of environment objects that I will/post up.
Well just my current work in progress. So far it has a good solid base in place. Probably another 4-5hrs work and it should be right up to scratch.
Well this is going to be an annoying complaint but...
Thats not at all how blood spatters. In fact the blood spatter in general doesn't make any realistic sense. The shape and droplet ratio would make more sense for a floor, and even then its not entirely accurate.
But 'realistic' blood spatters are a pain and usually a waste of time in-games. So ignore that part.
I'm glad you took the blood out and used a "5" on it instead on your more finished model.
It was a bit of late night madness. And I never actually took it out, just changed the colour and lowered the opacity. So it was more of an old faded stain than blood. Though it was never going to be a blood splatter. It just wouldn't have fitted.
