It has been ... a bit since you posted this map, but if you are still interested in feedback: this is a good map, terrain was modelled nicely.
If you dont mind I will take this map for Remake and update it with our props :3

The game can handle complex animations with little problems, in Remake we use a set of custom animations for a large portion of our infantry, they are very smooth, with small imperfections.
Warper is right that the vanilla skeleton and animations are just hard to work with, and often look quite wooden
Those are some VERY sexy tank models!
Damn thats a beefy sound!
In 4.0 you will get a full blown ground rework, with combat never seen before in EAW :)
Defense buff. Blocking the line of sight would be awesome, but EAW doesn't allow for that
Thanks for your support! We hope to provide something very unique with 4.0 :)
Yeah most vehicles have combat chatter, infantry too. And I agree, this adds a lot of ambient
Stumbled upon your Game today. Very interesting piece! I salute your dedication putting that together :)
For any artist it is imperative yet very difficult to accept that however the amount of hours put into a project, it is rare to see this dedication paid back the same amount. Often it is not even a question of quality but sheer luck.
Seeking recognition is understandable but not always possible and a very unstable goal. For me, I try to create something for myself first and for others second. Though it is always a nice boost of morale if people understand your vision and praise your hard work.
Everything you created so far is much more than 99% of all people would be capable of archiving. That alone is a great success.
It is the AT-MP, MD was just a typo
B1s are the weakest infantry HP wise but they are great damage dealers since they come in teams of 5 instead of 3, but that makes they also more vunlerable against HE missiles and artillery. But yeah, they are very cheap and throwaway. Dangerous nevertheless
These models are high res enough and taken from AotR. Most of the time you see infantry from VERY far away, the camera in GO is a proper tactical overview opposed to the close vanilla camera.
It wouldnt make much sense to swap the models for even more high res and sacrifice performance
As Star Wars basically is WW2, I don't see why it wouldn't fit. These VO lines are neutral enough that they could be used in any setting that has vehicle combat involved.
War doctrine doesnt differ just because it takes place in a sifi setting and the way tank crews communicate would be universal as well. If not, the setting lacks realism. I want to keep Ground as realistic as possible, minus some occasional memes, so anything related to SFX has to have a high amount of fidelity to fit the style.
credits for that goes to the guys over at AotR. They did an amazing job with these ground assets!
Rebel scum doesn't deserve a fair fight!
Well there is a lot of chatter on a chaotic battlefield^^
Those sound files are extracted from a real WW2 encounter btw. It doesn't get more real than that
I think it was from a allied battalion encountering German troops
Maybe in the future as a one time special unit
Ground will be released alongside 4.0
Started as a meme but I quite like the top gun chatter so it will most likely stay^^
Droids do what they are best at: being annoying. But don't worry, I reduced their chatter already. Problem was that they die way too quick lol
Only because I play and record in 4k
Oh yeah they are too bright.^^ Most explosions are placeholders though. We haven't yet worked on ground visuals.
Also: ignore that the orbital bombardment broke the recording midway. Keep in mind that I play and record in 4k. Performance of GO overall is very good.
Remake's ground combat is inspired by AotR but quite different. Focus on realistic (as far as this is possible in EAW) and overall long range combat.
As for when - if things continue to progress as fast as recent, I'd say we will enter beta in around 2 months
I am a big fan of both Shack and the Lib and I happen to be a dev, thats why I added it lol That is the reason for most of the more random **** we add to the project, like Reapers and such
Sounds good! Looking forward to it!
Thanks! Is it okay to send you feedback and bugreports?
