99 Bolts is currently being developed in radio silence; I am just not very comfortable with sharing lots of small updates like I used to...it got to be very distracting.
But since you asked: I have a custom code base (fixed projected textures, custom entities, and more to come I hope) thanks to Gary and ChromeAngel on Interlopers; I have been in the slow process of blocking out all of the levels in order to better define the size and scope of certain elements of gameplay and story; I have been identifying custom assets I might need from others, since I doubt I will have the time to learn modeling/texturing; I have been writing lots of the story, recording some dialog myself, and continuing to learn FacePoser so I can get some new scenes in-game finally.
i like the aesthetic with the bare metal studs. could you make some of the walls out of rotating studs, so that the wall "opens" like blinds?
I wouldn't mind more audio logs and/or stuff to read in those side rooms.
do you have proof that it's dead? these things take time, you know.
i like the hand model, actually all of it is very impressive
should i re-download the mod? my version of the mod is one of the very first versions (with an extra large steam icon), and it doesnt run correctly. maybe due to the steampipe update. help pls ;D
I have heard from several sources that game environments need many more details and props than real life does...in order for players to accept the game environment as adequately detailed. Maybe I will remove it.
I can understand why you might have that opinion.

shaders is better i suppose but the scene needs more details somehow. additional displacements and models would make it look more fluid. the fog is also set to be pretty high...reduce opacity.
um this is cool artwork but someone really did beat you to the concept (in source, no less), as beez-one already pointed out...i dont know if you should keep it the way it is because it is really similar. unless you guys are secretly working together...

It is very fitting to consider that Biohazard is involved in your project. One of the most prolific freelance programmers in Source working alongside one of the most prolific freelance level artists in Source...I feel a black hole opening up inside my skull.

Gameplay question: Can I jump down the middle of the stairwells to quickly escape Slender Man? If so, do I have a normal HL2-style HP displayed? Does the player have a chance to heal from damage taken? Does the player move slower if injured? ...Those are just a few things I think about when it comes to player health and enemy evasion, especially when compared to normal HL2 gameplay concepts.
Well, that was kind of my point here...to reduce player certainty about what they are viewing. And who could resist the "buckets of blood" motif?
what would i have to do to convince you to give me a playtest copy? i can record my playthrough, talk my way through situations to you, send you a report, etc. also have you considered planet phillip's Playtester Initiative?

I am creating several mods of my own (99 Bolts, Assault on Overwatch, and other personal projects) and I am contributing to several other mods (Room Escape, etc).
