First Game released!

JamoGames Blog
.
Hi all,

So it's finally released, Jamo Games' first game "Amp, Watts & Circuit"! It's a big accomplishment for me to get a game out there that people can buy, and I hope that anyone that does really enjoys it and finds it worth the money. I know I'm proud of how the game looks and plays now, and I have had some good reviews too, which has been awesome (9/10 gametwonk.com).

However, this by no stretch of the imagination means that my work is over, now I have to figure out how to make people want to buy it! To help me out with this I would love feedback from anyone who is willing. Did you buy the game? If so, what did you like about it, what would you change? If not, why not? Are there features you would like to see, did you not enjoy the demo, or just didn't know it existed until now?

Hopefully at least enough people will buy it to warrant me making another game! And if you did buy it, thank you so much, you rock! Please fly the AWC flag proudly, and get your friends involved!

Here are links to the game if you want to buy it -

IndieCity - Indiecity.com

Thanks folks!

Updates (09/02/2012)

Hi all,

Got great feedback from the AWC demo so far, over 100 downloads which is pretty good. The game is almost complete, so I'm on the lookout for a platform that wants it. Desura said no as they have trouble selling puzzle games, still waiting on Steam and Impulse but I am doubtful, I hear it's pretty hard to get onto unless you are already well known. If I hear from them then I will keep you posted, if not then its off to IndieCity!

I have also updated the website with the new trailer, which shows the final games artwork and animation, and added a download link to the demo!

I'd love to build more of a community around Jamo Games, somewhere were we can all get together, have fun and chat about stuff. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Thanks!

Artwork Update

Quick update alret!

In AWC, before the level starts, the player gets to see a "ready" image. These images help to tell the back story of the game, give a tutorial, set the scene or just have fun with the characters. There are a stack of these in the game, so I thought I would upload a sample of what you might see. This scene shows Amp's family tree.
See how he got his good looks?

5th Feb Update

JamoGames Blog
.
Morning everyone,

A news article introducing Amp, Watts & Circuit went live today here!
It got authorised but I noticed that it goes into the slot when I posted it, so I'm not sure how people manage to get onto the home page, I'll have to look into it.

Updates for today include testing(again!) and sorting out a demo. To get the demo done shouldn't take too long now, I really just need to cut the game down to the right length, create the scenes to go at the end of the demo and test it all. Then I'll be ready to publish it here!

Hi everyone!

I just posted a feature about an interview I did on The Indie Shelter, you can check it out here!
Hopefully it will get authorised, I think it would be a big boost to the game. Today I will be working on getting a demo put together to upload, as the game is in a very playable state now. All 50 levels are done, together with most of the graphics, sound and animation. I will post a news article later today about how the game looks now and what the next steps are for Amp, Watts & Circuit!

You can get more info, listen to some music from the game and view the trailer at the micro-site here.Hopefully I can generate some interest for the game, and have a chat with some of you who want to know more about it. There is a video of some beta gameplay and a stack of images on the games profile, so check them out! There are also some articles about the game here, if you wish to read them, thanks to the good people at IGM and TheIndieShelter.
