I studied at Columbia, for game design and story development, and I've written several plays and novels. I don't really have a project at the moment, and I'm looking for someone to work alongside.

Paranautical Activity

Game review

I was really excited for this game, a first person shooter with the minecraft knockoff block style looked pretty good.

I died no matter what direction I went. I was the tank. I had the most health you can get.

Shooters are not my specialty. But I'm not a mom; I've spent two hundred hours in the fallout shooters.

Probably not ever going to play this game again. Game might be worth a 2, just because some of the five minutes I have access to is pretty in its creative use of blocks. But I got nothing from this game, so it gets a 1

Diehard Dungeon

Game review

I didn't like the way if you die you have to start from the beginning, and I had a hard time with the fact that I couldn't swing my sword while also moving, it made maneuvering hard for me, so I would die, and then I'd be sent back, and that was annoying when I have other games I could play instead.

Postmortem: one must die

Game review

This game is one of the more important games I've ever played.

I keep looking for games where you do more than go around mindlessly defeating the enemies we've all beaten up time and again.

In this game, you have a different set of actions. You can investigate, influence, and eventually you choose one person who is involved in this massive conflict, and you select them to die tonight.

It can be a short game or a not so short game depending on your investment, and I think it is a great example of where the future of gaming can go. This is the kind of simple game that my mother will understand, and as an educated woman, I think she will find the moral quandry worth her time and consideration. I just got access to Bioshock Infinite which was supposed to be the game at the forefront of where games can go toward contributing to art. THIS game deserves that title.

Roaming Fortress

Game review

I originally had this game rated higher.

I enjoyed the roving castle defense model.

But it quickly became a grind for me to get the cash I needed to get the upgrades that would keep me alive.

Any time that happens, I wonder if the developers are trying to extend the life of the game by making it harder, so that you have to play a level over again, and therefore invest more time in it.

I have hundreds of games to try out. I'd much rather have a satisfying playthrough, all the way through, and come out with the satisfaction that I finished the game. I'd rather play a shorter, but smoother game.
