Most of the factions are unbalanced, the strongest have modern equipment whereas the weak have all traditional like Tsu domain I based it on what I could find about the individual domain's militaries some I couldn't find any significant modernized force for. The Skirmishers are mainly for skill not equipment, skirmishers have guns only and "infantry" have bayonets or spears, but less gun skill and usually inferior weapons to skirmishers. The revolvers reload slow because they are muzzle loading cap and ball revolvers which can take over 1 minute to reload quickly in real life. The Lefaucheux and Smith and Wesson are cartridge revolvers so they reload faster. Also some Samurai gunners do use modern guns like Satsuma, Tosa and Nagaoka etc. All in all the mod is very rough around the edges, but glad you like it.

The delay is a gun stat not skill issue. In warband reload speed is tied to aiming/fire speed, unfortunately to have little delay in shooting requires a high reload rate and I didn't want AI musketmen shooting 7 rounds a minute.

The only thing I can think off is maybe something is changed in your main Warband folder. The mod uses some sounds that replace native sounds with gun sounds unused in Gekokujo like "enemy_scored_a_point" i think etc. If you've edited files in the actual game files it might affect it, maybe delete the warband files except the modules folder and verify integrity of game cache on steam.

How did you install the mod and what files did you download? Also are you on windows?

I separated the trousers and foot items, its always been a problem in Mount and Blade. I didn't want to make it cluttered with two types of each jinbaori. Unfortunately the hand slot can only support gloves (can't do rigged meshes). The China Korea thing is not happening either that was way too ambitious and wouldn't work well because Mount and Blade AI is so aggressive you would have the Qing annexing Kyoto in 1867. I tried to focus this new version on the Boshin War specifically. Later conflicts would need a total redo because the Japanese Army after 1873 looked totally different from 1868.

I based the performance very roughly based on literature. All damages in the game are caliber in inches plus the weight of the bullet in real life. The accuracy was mostly just decided by my opinion. For example the Spencer does more damage than the Chassepot because despite being lower velocity it has a heavier and wider diameter bullet. But I gave it lower accuracy because it had poor velocity and the Chassepot was reputed to have good accuracy. The in game velocities are based on real figures.

Unfortunately the first quest doesn't work in Hakata or Sakai.

Mediafire.com Download this, make a backup of "actions.txt" and then replace it with this one. It will make the animations like in Gekokujo/Native.

Yeah no troop viewer on this one, the troops are almost the same structure as gekokujo though, so infantry (bayonet/spear) or skirmishers (better guns more accurate)

Possibly tomorrow or the day after, the mod is a bit rough, companions are still mostly the same and many lords are unchanged, but still much more complete than the first version so I will release regardless.

Obviously I'm using other things like the photos for textures are just from the internet, the chassepot in this one is the blood and iron osp rextextured by me, and a lot of the uniforms will be edited gekokujo assets since this time I want things to look more consistent and I'm not going to remake all the gekokujo armors. But yeah I'm making this mod/submod by myself the revolvers in this image for example modeled from scratch by me etc.

Satsuma, Choshu, Saga, Tosa are all Imperial. Tokugawa, Nagaoka, Aizu, Sendai, Jozai are the main Shogunate. Most non Imperial factions are shogunate/samurai. All imperials and the main Shogunate like Tokugawa and Sendai have the most modern units with guns.

For the Saga Spencer rifle this seems to be an edit not made by me. I found it in the 1.2 patch made by community, but not my original version or 1.1 patch. I can't really do anything to fix it other than say just don't use the 1.2 patch. I never realised they changed things in the mod.

In my new version (I'm remaking) I removed the old script that caused all skirmisher units to be given a matchlock or yumi bow so that shouldn't happen for the new version.

I overhauled gunpowder weapons as I said and I will make sure its balanced in the new version.

I can't find any Saga domain or linked troop with Spencer rifles, can you tell me which troop has them? I'm remaking the mod anyway, but I just want to know.

Yeah thanks, I have heard a lot about Spencer rifles being OP. I made a new method of calculating damage for the firearms, the caliber + the weight in grams, the velocities will be real life ones and the accuracy is based loosely on effective range. So now guns like the Enfield will be useful since although the Enfield and Spencer are both around 57 caliber rounds, the Enfield will have more range, damage, accuracy. All the guns should be scaled fairly with one another in the new release.

Whole mod is being remade, I don't think Joseon Dynasty will be in next release, only Japan. I'm making the new one more realistic and historically accurate.

HEY ALL, unofficial fix to launch the mod for now, Open your "module.ini" file found in the mod folder, find the lines that say, these appear two times in the file so just Ctrl F to find them if you can't

load_resource = op_terrain_borders_textures
load_resource = op_terrain_borders_materials
load_resource = op_terrain_borders
load_resource = op_terrain_borders_b

Put a # in front of these lines (it makes the game ignore them) as they arent in the mod files.

So you should have this for the two times these appear in the module.ini
#load_resource = op_terrain_borders_textures
#load_resource = op_terrain_borders_materials
#load_resource = op_terrain_borders
#load_resource = op_terrain_borders_b

The mod should work afterwords.

not yet although release is planned for 2020 and hopefully before June. Being honest it is not my life's priority right now but I wanted to leave this mod in a quality completed state instead of what it is now.

I plan to redo all Korean stuff although Korea's inclusion is not priority and I will replace the animations for reloading instead of the musket pistol reload from Gekokujo. We'll see about cheat menu, because I will be adding so many items making cheat menu is not priority either.

I plan to make Joseon Dynasty and maybe Qing faction in this mod but the main focus is Bakumatsu and Boshin war, can't plan too far ahead so no promises I could make a mod like that, but I have thought about it since I released this one.

I might change up the animations because some of them are too confusing. Also unfortunately at the moment the current release is no longer being worked on, I'm pretty much remaking the mod.

Really late reply sorry, go to the Module.ini file in the 1776 American Revolution module folder and down the bottom below "crush_through_threshold" there may be some other lines.

If the line "use_advanced_formation = 0" is there change 0 to 1
if it isn't there add the line use_advanced_formation = 1 and it should add the formations you want.

Line to add:

use_advanced_formation = 1

Sorry if I'm too late :)

Hi everyone, sorry for being absent from this mod for so long, I actually have a reason. See I am actually currently undergoing my final year of secondary school which for those non Australians is the year which will basically determine whether I have a chance of getting into a university and other things like that.

As much as I would love to solely devote my time and effort to this mod, as many other modders have said 'Real life comes first' for this reason I doubt you will see much progress on the mod in 2018. If I get a window of opportunity then of course I will work on the mod, but for now to be frank progress will be very little to none.

However in this time whilst progress has been short I have been improving my skills in modelling, animation and coding so I should actually be able to make larger and higher quality additions to the mod.

Sorry to all who have been waiting so long, it may seem hard to believe, but I'm still around and the mod isn't completely dead, I have no intention of purposefully leaving it in it's current state, in fact I will try to do some work this year and I'll upload screenshots if I can.

Thanks for understanding.
