This huge map pack is slowly being deprecated as it's unweildy and most maps were made with very high resource.
Maps are being made (and V maps remade) with more regular available resources (mainly metal) and becoming available as individual map downloads on the TAF client - Taforever.com
TAF auto-downloads maps, so it makes more sense that maps are available for download as separate files.
after some discussion with players, we might go for Czar instead. Or Sovereign, Tunguska, or Argus. Or something fun like Argoth
lol. In Greek myth it's the brother of Cerberus...
In the pic, 4 Tier 3 units: Blue Arm tanks G2 and Mofo. Red Core tanks Smasher and Harbinger.
This is a concept model, we're working on a couple other ideas too. It's not final. It's counterpart the Core Retribution is getting a remodel as well, and so is the much more powerful Arm Prophet and Core Omen... :)
Thanks to M1Garland for working on these models.
Yes, work has resumed on the mod... Woo!
Beta 8 is nearly here! Lots of new upgrades and features. Definitely giving Commander upgrades some thought.
There are already very long-range Nuke cannons available at L3 :)
You have the Core Contingency CD?
Just copy ccdata.ccx and ccmaps.ccx to your cavedog/totala folder :)
If you have 3.1 patch, that's all you need.
My sincere apologies about the long delay replying. I really need to set up email alerts so I don't miss your comments for so long!
oh yeah this is just L2. There are much heavier units...
No Orcones in Total Mayhem. Got Drakes, but they're too heavy for the transports to lift. These transports can drop Razorbacks tho, and some other heavy units.
There's Avengers, Intimidators, solar panels, missile towers, a moho extractor and a Doomsday Machine middle-right which are all pretty normal. The rest... not normal.
This one also auto-cloaks after it's built.
Interesting effect with the high-trajectory cannon: it takes less time to hit a target further away than it does a target that is closer.
At maximum range, the way I've set up the Pillager, it's not much different from how it now - except it's longer ranged. The closer the target is, the more the Pillager becomes like a Merl/Diplomat: firing high in the air, hitting targets at a steep angle, and only really any good for targets that aren't moving.
The effect for the Nixer, conversely, is that it's much better at hitting moving targets than it used to be. If the target is close it still comes down at a fairly steep angle too. However, it to a lesser extent also has the same result of taking longer for the projectile to hit a target that is closer, because the rocket goes higher in the air before coming back down.
Maybe you should join us on Gameranger to observe these effects more closely. ;)
That's brown bro, you need to adjust your set.
You need TA: Core Contingency installed.
...and I can play on Gameranger etc just fine.
Works fine for me full-screen mode, Windows 8.1 64-bit, with the hotfix.
Remove cavedog units.ufo (or similar name) from your total mayhem folder. It shouldn't be in there.
In fact if you can't find cavedog units.ufo then look for any small file (less than 1Mb) ending in .ufo. Remove it.
Please check out help and info on the new Unofficial Patch here. Tauniverse.com
You don't have the Core Contingency installed.
Or, the stupid installer didn't copy ccdata.ccx from your totala folder to your total mayhem folder.
Remove cavedog_units.ufo (or similar name) from your Total Mayhem folder. It shouldn't be there.
Can you back up these suggestions with some reasoning please.
Are you familiar with Total Annihilation - or indeed with the Total Mayhem mod? There are a lot of rapid-fire weapons that will quickly overwhelm this unit and kill it.
Total Mayhem includes over 400 umits in total. TA has a limit of 512 units and 256 weapons, although the new unofficial 4.0 patch in development removes these limits. Which is a good thing too, there's no way I'd be able to add the TLL race with that limit.
Sorry to hear that! I haven't heard of that error before. I play on Windows 8. Any chance you can post up a screenshot? If you visit www.tauniverse.com/forum,, visit the Help and support topic in the Mayhem Inc forum. You may find some help there.
If I may say so, my mod offers better quality units than 99% of Unit Universe.
Most of the units included are old favourite 3rd-party units... but vastly improved in quality and balance.
Check it out for yourself if you haven't already :)
The Arm Terrier already ingame, this is just an improved model :)
It fires three-round salvoes, low damage but a bit better range than the Flash.
On their own they aren't too much of a worry, but they can do a bit of damage in small mobs.
Just checked, the Total Mayhem 6.3 download now appears to be working fine, FINALLY :)
You might find some of your favourite units are in Total Mayhem, in improved form ;)
If you dont, then you're welcome to suggest some! There are about 30 more unit slots spare in Total Mayhem. I'm always open to suggestions.
