Caught this over on Reddit. Looks very interesting and I think could be great fun in team games too. Can't wait to see what concepts you have for the levels.

If it's money you're after... you've got mine!
Yeah, I'm in. Gotta try it with my Nvidia 3D and see how that works on the old engine :)
It's my responsibility at work to check the UI in all Xbox reses on our game, this article was very interesting and informative. Thanks!
Keep up the good work. One of my favourite mods. The only way I've played HL2!
Fantastic, very emotional, loved it.
Nothing but love for this mod... can't wait! LAN party will be soooooooooo good :) Thanks again!
No offence but that whole katana bit was painful and made me switch off the episode. Swearing is not an opinion and sometimes the opinions expressed on the modcast are unhelpful malformed utterences that do more to cloud the mod landscape than shine a light on it. Don't get me wrong, I love the podcast but more constructive, thought out responses (even if you have to write it down, or write down the pertinant points) would be much more easy on the ear and would really help understand the mods.
Take this example quote on map design in Eternal Silence @ ~18:30.
"Nah, yeah, it's the red ship. And, ah, the problem is, you know, I'll ahh, be looking at the map and I'll be going 'OK, the hanger is to my right.' And I go and I run this way and then there is this ******* wall. So I go back... alright so if I go left and I run left and I go round and I end up back where I started. And I'm like 'What?' Then I try again ... it was sad ... I played this map 1000 times"
Thank small mercies for the comments about flat textures and the level having a more vertical design otherwise I would have had *no idea* what you were talking about.
Not trying to be a hater, just trying to offer my opinion that a more structured aproach to comments and criticisms would be preferable.
This mod does not get enough attention. The graphics are tight.
Guys, I looooooovvvvveeee the Modcast but can you please use the MP3 data to name the file, give it an Atrist name and track number etc. Say artist: Modcast, Album: Season 2, Track: Episode 1. Would save a lot of people time changing the file names or searching through their MP3 player track listing. Again, I'm diggin your work guys, keep it up!
I used to have that exact same problem. Using the Steam version now though and the problem no longer affects me. I had such a hard time in their forums trying to get anyone to listen to me. I'm a games tester by trade and I left a fairly professional entry in the thread detailing the problem and how I had narrowed it down to that. I also PM'd one of the devs. They dismissed me right out of hand. I cannot believe people *still* have that problem and *still* they don't add a f*****g cancel button! Sheesh. It gets my blood boiling just remembering that problem!
PLEASE for the love of Craziestdan... ADD THAT BUTTON!
nEVER DONE IT BUT i WOULD.
Ha ha ha ha ha, I can't stop laughing. This mod will just strap a smile on your face from now on. I will play this just to be shot by a dinosaur! AHHHH ha ha ha ha ha ha! Brilliant!
Genius! I remember that podcast and remember laughing at the suggestion. This is some of the most fantastic mod news I've ever heard. Truly fantastic! ha ha ha ha ha. You guys are awesome :)
Ahhhh, it's soooooooo goooooood
Choo choo! :) Oh yeah! Bloody good trailer I say.

but I think it's an installer tis is not? Should do it for you.
I suppose they have cut some deal with FilePlanet for the exclusive release a day early but you can get it here as a torrent:
Causality Effect?! One of my favorite mods of all time, especially this bit! Sweeeeeeeeeeet!
I rounded up 8 people to play tonight based on this release but then the conflict with the old download version and the Steam version caused a few hours confusion. Still, this is such a fantastic mod this transition is worth it but it could have been made a wee bit clearer that the Steam version was incompatable with the download. We all ended up playing on the downloaded version!
Nice job all, thanks again for all your hard work and all the good times. Good to see the recognition and good to see Valve doing something cool... again!
Point being: this mod is fantastic. mini-games, mods and HL2 all co-op. Can you ask for more playable content than that from 1 download?!?! I voted for Mod of the Year and I play a lot of mods. Very good.
