St. Olave's, the outer wall surrounding this part would be fortified and crenelated all the way around the Abbey grounds. If you look at the wall along Marygate and some of it along Bootham you can get a good idea of how this would have looked, it's one of the few sections of the City walls not to be extensively remodelled by the Victorians.

The Bar needs a Barbican, if it's in the 15th Century it should look more like this: C8.alamy.com

I'm from York, FYI the Bars should have Barbicans extending out the front of them. The one pictured here, Monkgate Bar had a Barbican until the 19th Century when it was removed, all the others had them too. Walmgate Bar still has it's Barbican, google that to get an idea of what they would have looked like in the 15th Century.

Cool checking it out now, I released a basic version of ECP for Arma CWC v1.99 as the old installers didn't work without an original OFP installation (It's in the Steam Guides section for Arma CWC if anyone wants ECP without the frills)

Someone did create a version 0.27 with finished troop trees for Sarranids though it was horrendously bugged (bandit parties would keep doubling in size until you had deserter parties 1000+ strong that spawned twice as large after you destroyed them), the current version 0.26 is near complete, the only thing missing is the aforementioned Sarranid expanded troop tree and a few of the village/castle advanced options. It's still the best mod in the game imo, It's the only mod I have played where you can play as a merchant and actually conquer the world through use of your financial power alone.

I've been doing a Dale playthrough on your Mod and I have to say that you are right, they have grown on me some, I especially like the sword models.

One of the things I like most about your Overhaul though is the new Orc/Uruk sounds, they sound absolutly menacing and really improve the overall feel of the game. The base mod's sounded a bit comical at times.

Looks great, I really dislike the Hobbit versions of the Wood Elf King and the Dale troops though that's my personal feeling towards the aesthetic choices made for those films.. they just look off to me though you have done a good job at recreating them.

They rely on numbers, if you look at most settlements evil ones have double and often triple the amount of units as those in good settlements.

In terms of recruitment, as you level up more and more higher level recruits are available.

If you're having difficulty raise the player level at which the war starts, if you raise it to 14 or 16 by the time you reach that level there should be plenty of new troops available for you to replenish your forces.

Also don't waste time in the pre-war stage, you can reinforce settlements at key places to stack them against enemy sieges. Warband is mostly a numbers game in battles the player isn't directly involved in so even putting tons of low level troops in somewhere like say Troll Cave or East Osgiliath can make a big difference when the Elves/Gondorians come knocking.

The vast majority of the outfits are ported directly from the original Mount and Blade version of the mod and this causes some minor issues when put on Warband units who have different animations and slightly different model skeletons as well as looking low res and some items not fitting well with others.

It's not "completed", I spoke with the mod creator years ago and he didn't get around to fleshing out or finishing half the features he wanted to. It's certainly one of the most elaborate mods for Warband ever made, and considering he didn't finish everything he wanted to it's still much more impressive than most Warband mods out there.

(buried)

In what way is Bannerlord suited to accommodating Mass Effect? The creator will likely spend a couple of hours putting together concept art and then give up because it is a ridiculously huge undertaking trying to recreate a universe that is in no way whatsoever suited to Bannerlord. It is also one they probably have in no way the sufficient modding skill to accomplish in any way that won't at best be a few poorly made retextures of NPC's and low poly gun models stuck in the game with blutac.

Just ask yourself, how are you going to implement biotics? tech skills? space travel? Reapers? Mass Relays? landing on planets? Will the Citadel have a tavern? a castle dungeon? A horse trader and guildmaster? modding every NPC in the game and all the dialogue to fit with the mass effect universe? Doing it in Warband is one thing, where there are plenty of other mods you can reference in terms of putting it together, Bannerlord however requires a higher level of modding ability, particularly as there is no precedent for creating a mod like this out there yet! the answer is that you're not going to be able to do it, be realistic. If you were serious about making a decent mod you'd actually make some physical progress beyond posting a few screenshots from Mass Effect and some images you've cropped from google image search before creating a page for it.

And if by some miracle you do actually put together this mod in a competant way; from a legal perspective, if you are planning on using any assets from Mass Effect, that is textures, models, sound effects etc. you are libel to be sued by EA/Bioware for breach of Copyright/IP law. Your mod will almost certainly be de-listed from here before that even happens, if you don't think that will happen just look at all the other "Full conversion" mods that used assets from other games, none of them ever went anywhere either. So yeah good luck making all of that from scratch, which is what you will have to do if you want to publically release this mod.

Anyone coming to this page, don't get your hopes up this is a waste of time. And to the creator, prove me wrong if you can but I would give betting odds of 1 trillion to 1 that this page will never produce anything that is remotely worth playing. You need to walk before you can run, and crawl before you can walk.. If you're relying on other people to do the work for you too you're going to be sadly disappointed, most skilled modders will have their own projects they're working on and unless you can offer serious financial incentive or have prodigy level skills yourself to put effort into most of the development no serious modder is going to spend their time working on such a massive project gratas. And even if that does happen there's no guarentee people will even want to play it, I've seen mods that dedicated teams have put years of effort into only for them to be played for a week and then completely forgotten about.

I'm not trying to turn you off from modding but you need to create realistic goals in terms of making a mod and you will get attainable outcomes, and some massive project like this if you can't undertake the lions share of the work yourself is going to remain a pipe dream, good intentions and enthusiasm aren't enough unfortunately.

Not to be a debbie downer but why the hype? all I see in the images is a few retextured Bretynwalda assets and a couple of new scenes.

Is this mod going to radically change the way warband is played or is it just Bretynwalda plonked onto Calradia?

It would be nice if there was an "Execute prisoners/Free prisoners" option if you don't want to carry them around until getting a chance to cross to Essos, with Good/Bad reputation effect. TLD had a feature like this where you could physically execute prisoners, granted it was to feed your Orcs.

I've created a House Forrester player banner, if anyone wants it reply to this comment and i'll post a link, you only need to copy it over the player_banners.dds in the textures folder. It replaces the plain white banner.

looks ****, don't use photo's to texture your objects, making textures that fit the model ALWAYS look better, use photograph's to build the model by all means but don't leave them on the model once it's finished!

If you're wondering why your buildings look like crap it's because of this, and they're far too blocky.

It's a shame that there aren't even any basic mods for VC that add features sorely needed to make it compete with even it's old iteration Bretynwalda.. they had to remove a lot of content as it was OSP and couldn't be used in an official game. Sad.. especially after they managed to nail the sea combat, no other warband mod does it half as well as VC.

From what I can decipher, this "mod" is just a bunch of OSPs poorly thrown together with gibberish long blocks of text and implementation that's been done better by several other mods.

uhm no. I'll use Nova Aetas as an example again as it essentially covers the same territory as this, that mod has loads of innovative original features no other mod has. It isn't just a choice between Gameplay and Graphics, the best mods have both. This mod appears to have neither.

Did Bethesda make and release mount and blade when i wasn't looking? I'm pretty sure there's no issue in a mod for the fallout series.. but otherwise there's a load of IP issues not to mention the fact that if you can't make your own content.. even the most basic bits then you probably shouldn't be making a mod. It's lazy and rubbish.
