Never found a definitive answer to this:
Is it possible to marry a claimant (either male or female)?

From the Chinese notes, the only changes in 1.105 vs 1.06 appear to be deletion of wolf and bear skin resources (from the official Viking Warband DLC), and credit acknowledgement to the first generation Russian 13TH mod team, due to shared assets.
Save game compatability with previous versions?

Replace font files as instructed in File/Mod Description.
It's already up, but stuck on authentication. Should be no problem if you are logged in though.
I'll do you one better; I've uploaded it here on moddb.
Any Muslim town I think. Ask any tavern owner / barkeep for the location. You have to pay 1000 denar though.
Ramun is in Arce by the way.
Chinese Warband BBS. The font files are messed up (at least for English) so you might need to replace them with a font from another mod.
New update for the English patch adds the translation for the Hulao Pass cutscene that some people were looking for. Also adds the correct translation for all claimant dialogue.
I'm playing the newest version at the moment.
If you have trouble recruiting the 3 Companions below, a guide:
Nameless: In Qarqan, in a random alleyway dead end to the right of the entrance. Rides a horse.
Xue Gang: In Lin'an, following the guildmaster. Talk to him when you are injured, then complete a quest.
Jamila: In a tavern, but you need to sell Ramun the Slave Trader 149 prisoners before she will join you. You will know when you hit the right number, as Ramun gives you a piece of equipment.
Discussion from M&B CN Forum, translated verbatim:
"What's the difference between 2.8 and 2.76?"
"The attributes of 2.76 are better than 2.8, it is valued higher. Strictly speaking, 2.8 is a sub-mod; 2.76 is the final edition of the mod. However, 2.8 has a more detailed plot, and many more functions (though buggy)."
"You will experience the charm of FYSG with 2.76. Those who like fresh/new/novel things or complicated plots should play 2.8"
who knows, if you're good at chinese go have a read lol
The duel wait error problem:
1. Ride to the dueling area between the two armies.
2. Look for your faction banner/flag near the dueling area.
3. Ride/walk on top of it, and then select the general that you want to send out to duel.
4. The duel will start immediately. When one general falls, then everyone will charge. Positioning your own troops tactically immediately after dueling is recommended.
5. The side with the fallen general will have about 25% of their units fleeing, so try not to lose.
This is a scripted event about the events at Hulao Pass, where Hua Xiong cut down two coalition generals before Guan Yu headed out to fight him. As Guan Yu departed, Cao Cao offered him some warm wine. Guan Yu declined, left, and then returned with Hua Xiong's head after a short period of time. It was said the wine was still warm.
By my knowledge this scene can't be skipped, unless you do not approach Hulao Pass at the same time as the coalition army. The dialogue is currently in Chinese, which is not recognised in most Warband sys locales.
Make sure to rename the mod folder to something without Chinese in it. This should be a sys locale problem.
Are you editing the troops.txt file? The new translations are now masking the txt files (except strings.txt) with the .csv files in languages.
\Modules\FYSG 2.76\languages\en\troops.csv
The Find item selection is still there, but the text is invisible at the moment. The original modders gave two options the same variable name so the game refuses to print the text.
Note the dashes on the left inside the cheat menu, they indicate the position of the find_item button and the change_weather button.
I am fairly sure its a straight replacement for Squire/Lady/Troubadour/Student/Peddler/Smith/Poacher.
Unsure about the second part.
My bad, it seems positioning your troops beforehand is pointless as they'll just head to the dueling grounds. If you are not dueling, watch carefully until a general is defeated and position your troops immediately.
Cai Yan might possibly be implemented as a normal lady, Lady Caishi (Lady of Cai family)...
You need the English patch.
Some players have been asking about dueling in battle and "wait error" when the troops stand around doing nothing.
There is a particular method to it:
1. Ride to the dueling area between the two armies.
2. Look for your faction banner/flag near the dueling area.
3. Ride/walk on top of it, and then select the general that you want to send out to duel.
4. The duel will start immediately. When one general falls, then everyone will charge. Positioning your own troops tactically before dueling is recommended.
Sys locale problem possibly. Works on warband.
"IMPORTANT: If your system locale is not Chinese, change the name of the FYSG folder so that it does not contain Chinese, e.g. "FYSG 2.76". Otherwise Warband may have trouble identifying the folder."
Whoops my bad: updating the English patch for FYSG/ROTK 2.76 caused it to undergo verification by admin again.
It is still available to download by moddb members (I think?) at /mods/romance-of-the-three-kingdoms-dynasty-warriors/downloads/fysg-276-rotk-english-patch
Apologies again, I will upload as a new file in the future before deleting the old one.
(v2.76) Merchant: "The last time I met him he was at Shuixiang, you could go there to ask."
Sure, if there's something there I haven't done yet, I'll combine it and put it up. Will send a PM. Cheers
Sorry mate, just a bored translator here, not a modder.
Yellow Turban Bandits are renamed and recoloured looters.
You can literally solo Yellow Turban parties under size 10 with your crossbow and horse. Move while loading, stop, shoot, repeat. Leave your recruits on a hill as a distraction.
No idea about freelancer, but I see people asking for it on every version file upload here.
Yuanban ~ Approximately the situation in Year 200, but Liu Bei is controlling Yi Province for some reason, instead of being a refugee seeking shelter with Yuan Shao.
Mod 190 ~ The Coalition against Dong Zhuo in Year 190. Approximately accurate.
