As a young solo project (I assume) this is REALLY impressive. That said, objectively speaking, the quality is very poor.

Personally I think you should look to start/ join a team of modders and maybe something will come of it (killing floor/counter strike) who knows.

As it is, the asking price is too high. I can understand you want to recover costs of assets bought but the quality of the game just isn't high enough.

Good luck with updating the game.

The maps could also be curated by mods/developers in terms of "This weeks featured map!".

I am honestly a little sad to see a developer add an intuitive map editor and it's met with such negativity.

As some else has stated, John Carmack as said ( Twitter.com ) a full SDK is likely to be released but in his own words, it wont be as easy to use as UE4 or Unity so why bother?. Not every game needs a full blown SDK as some engines are built ground up for the specific needs of the game design. Doom 3 for instance looks like crap when its anything other than indoor/ dark environments which is why "The dark mod" looks so great and appropriate for that mod.

Your obviously a talented developer but it looks like at least some of your models are ripped from other sources. The gas tank for instance looks suspiciously like the one in Left 4 dead 2.
If I was to hazard a guess, the only model you have created are the aliens (because frankly its a mess from a modeling point of view) and I think you have used UDK to make the terrain but that's it.

I say this because you want to be sure you don't run into legal issues after the game is green lit and you start to profit from it.
