I'm a newbie Game Maker who mainly does writing when working with others(that's why my newest game is an RPG... It's ok, I'm shocked too). None of my previous games have really been anything to publish, but I hope people can enjoy the one I'm working on now when I'm done with it.

Simple enough for a beginner to learn, yet extremely flexible making it valuable to veteran game creators. Although it has it's limitations, this engine was made with plenty of default options and a massive amount of ways it can be changed with scripts to fit your game. I don't regret using it in the least.
Price tag to high? Wait for a sale and get it for 5$ or around 1$ in a bundle, which is WELL worth it.
