I never expected this mod to be released on Steam.

I am genuinely happy Valve included Shokunin Studios's marvelous mod into their distribution platform.

Forgive me if i did not explained this correctly.

The version of MINERVA which people can integrate my mod into is the one downloaded from this site.

It's the STEAM version of MINERVA which Badass CMB cannot be integrated with.

And don't forget to extract HL2 Update's materials folder too, otherwise you'll experience missing/purple & black checkerboard textures while you play it.

npc_create npc_combine_s_f (spawn an allied soldier)
npc_create_equipment weapon_ar2 (equip an spawned NPC with AR2)

Just an example.

You can also type "exec x_badass_cmb_new_npcs" or "exec x_badass_cmb_vanilla_npcs" to list all NPCs available to spawn via console, with the allied Combine NPCs listed on the former list.

Copy all HL2 Update maps and extract the "materials" textures in hl2_pak_dir.vpk to the mod's folder.

Or you can manually copy the HL2 maps to the mod's folder.

The .bat file assumes that the default hard disk letter is C: .

You can fix this issue by yourself, by editing the .bat file.

From this:

@echo off
mkdir "c:\program files\steam\steamapps\common\source sdk base 2007\hl2\maps"
xcopy "c:\program files\steam\steamapps\common\half-life 2\hl2\maps" "c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\source sdk base 2007\hl2\maps"

To this:

@echo off
mkdir "f:\program files\steam\steamapps\common\source sdk base 2007\hl2\maps"
xcopy "f:\program files\steam\steamapps\common\half-life 2\hl2\maps" "f:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\source sdk base 2007\hl2\maps"

Source SDK Base 2007 does not include HL2 maps.

You need to run the .bat file inside the mod folder after installing it.

The .bat file will then copy all HL2 maps to Source SDK Base 2007.

This will only work if you have HL2 installed.

I've updated the mod description, so people won't have trouble with missing HL2 maps.

Bitl, can you explain to us how the AI's enhanced sound perception works?

Source SDK 2013 SP includes all maps from HL2 Episode One and Two.

The maps textures are messed up like hell. Apart from that, the maps are playable as far as i know.

This mod is so good, i had a lot of fun playing it as well tweaking it. Providing it's source code was the icing on the cake.

It clearly deserves more popularity.

i have bought Black Mesa on Steam and i'm loving it thus far, especially the HECU's improved AI and humanized voice-acting.

These two were one of the lowest points of the free mod released back in 2012. I'm happy to see the devs listening to their fans.

I have included this ability two days after the first mod news.

The funny thing is, the rebels already have this ability, but Valve decided not include it for the soldiers.

The soldiers will use this ability only on hard difficulty.

No map nodes will be tweaked. Only the AI.

It will be possible to run the mod using the Update maps, but you'll need to extract the mod's textures as well, or else the maps textures will be missing.

When the first version comes out, i will post a tutorial regarding it.

The source code won't be released after the first version. Only in later versions i'll release it.

I don't intend to make radical changes to it's gameplay.

Adding new weapons is out of the question. However, i may consider adding the SLAM from HL2DM, since it's basically Half-Life's Satchel Charge and Tripmine combined.

Unlikely, given it's running animation is nothing more than a speed up version of it's walking animation.

CoRuJa - - 26 comments @ Your plans for 2015

Currently i am working on a gameplay enhancement mod for Warzone 2100 since the beginning of January. I am planning to release it in this same month and continue developing it through this year.

This will not be the only mod i'll release this year, considering the fact that Warzone 2100 is VERY easy to mod, especially when we are talking about gameplay changes.

I also hope my mods for this game helps to boost it's popularity and i am really sure that ModDB is the right place to do so.

CoRuJa - - 26 comments @ OF2 - Just keeping you guys updated with stuff

MenteR, i have to make a few questions regarding about your mod:

- Will the mod rescue the Half-Life feeling that has been abandoned in the second installement (*cough* HL2 *cough*)? I mean, a great variety of puzzles as well challenging enemies. Challenging i mean enemies that require your skills in both senses, something that HL2 and it's episodic sequels regretfully lacked in terms of difficulty.

- How long it will take to beat this mod (i'm not asking for a 20 hour experience, nothing in this world is perfect.)

- Judging by the screenshots, i believe that we gonna meet a few known foes like the Synth Gunship & Strider, for example, if i recall correctly. If so, are you guys considering to improve the existing dumbed-down NPCs included in the vanilla HL2. I don't want to fight a three-legged bug that just keep "stichting" along me when it's supposed to direclty hit you with deadly accuracy, for example (the same goes for the Gunship).
