Sadly, I never had enough time to add WW1 up to Ww2 with the huge techtree rework. But that will maybe change in the near future. So it is all right with your installation without such techtrees.
For now, I plan to put some more love into the current stage of the mod. :)

HoI4 is still not "good enough" for my taste. :)

I have no problems with my STEAM version.
The Mod has installation instructions for STEAM version too. :)

No sounds changed so far. I have prepared quite some, but never added them. It is on my to do list.

can you tell me your system config?
And does it really crash and gives you an error message or does it just take long and you have the feeling that it is crashed?
A good idea is to check out the map folder in your windows documents folders. There you can see in the folder "cache" that new files are being made.
If you redo the installation, make sure that you delete all files within that cache folder.

Hope that you didn't get that problem in 4.04 again.
I'm about to dig in deeper of the engine modding possibilities to check out to reduce such bug possibilities wich are very hard to come buy/reproduce.

After all I know so far, all problems occured due to an bad installation.
So a clean reinstallation of the game/mod might help.

as I wrote to Lewik1 below, I have no clue how/why some get such problems by now.
It could be because of the mod, or just an odd vanilla reason because of the ahistorical play.
Can you get around it playing with another save or reload/save with another country without playing between?

And trying to use 4.03 might be an option aswell.
At the moment some try and testplay the WIP 4.04b version.
I'll release that one after I got some more feddback.

All CV have short attack range, or did you mean the travel range?
Attack range should come from the CAG.

RADAR guided bombs means the "ICBM/V2" or only the "Flying Bomb/V1", or something else?

You need to have a resolution of the game of minimum 1280*768. ;)
In the options menue of the game you can change that or in the accroding settings.txt of the Mod in the profile folder of your windows account.

That might be if theres is maybe the widescreen mod installed in the wrong way. As a clean install and usage of this mod works fine.
At least I tried that on different machines/settings without problems so far.

I had initially own jet units. But then the stat screen is cluttered and also you won't get the experience from your fighter pilots transfered to your jets.
So I switched back to the old solution.

Guided bomb was changed already. But please report anything you notice.

Build limits are a bit off currently in 4.02c. But I changed that already and it will be better in next patch.

I need to get the new patch out asap. :)

Well, the AHOI-Mod should not need it.
In fact, to my knowledge, the game uses less RAM with my Mod.
HoI3-TFH uses up initially ~988MB on startup of a scenario.
And with the AHOI-Mod you have only 520MB..
All with 1280*768 in windowed mode..
But the podcat exe is only needed if the memory raises significantly above 1.5GB..

They add fortifcation bonus, but less then forts.
And if you look at the Battle Details you will see maybe why GER managed to break through. Maybe they used better doctrines and had better battle evenst, also armor bonus and planes are quite powerfull atm.
Also they just need to depelete your org and are through.
