My name is Chris! I come from the land of snow and losing sports teams, that's right Buffalo,NY. I've been working on game related projects off and on over the last 12-13 years. During that time I have dabbled in: Level Design,3D Modeling, snapping pictures of random things in the real world to turn into textures and anything game related that jumps out at me. I enjoy Tim Hortons Coffee as it fuels me up for long hours of game design/development. Some of my favorite Genre's are: Sci-Fi:Anything space related catches my attention. Suvival Horror: Gotta love Resident Evil series! FPS:Half-life was the first game I ever made a room AKA a box! Strategy:AOE,StarCraft(Who knows how much money blizzard made after my cd-rom shredded 2-3 copies of my SC:BW) MMORPG:Ultima Online was my obsession once(Stupid T.N.L.= Trammel Newbie Looters) I am currently working on my game Crazy GoldRush:Dredging by myself which at times can feel like a lot of work. Don't get me wrong I love it!

Good for you, the Indie scene needs as much support as it can get. Thank you!

What kind of games do you like(or want) to make out of curiosity?

You know, this kills me. As a person who has helped over the years on other peoples mods without caring for the credit of it.

I myself have not enjoyed the financial success or stability most people have in life. Which is why free mods is an amazing thing. People regardless of money can play new content on something they already paid for.

Which is why I contributed to a community like modding.

There's not enough free options for people out there to play games with no Catch(EX:Freemiums).

Even worse, what if all this does is lock Individuals and people with less money and experience out of the only community that lets them rise up into the spotlight, that might give them a future in this industry?

If companies began to create teams focused solely on modding for the purpose of profit........... I fear it will destroy this community as well as alienate those who attempted to break through.

Money never does good things for non-profit situations(Money always goes missing or misappropriated). I've worked for a couple and can already tell you if a immature mod leader gets his hands on money, his team might not see it.

There's too many aspects to just *Change* overnight. This is going to divide communities everywhere. Whether it be for money or for creative freedom.

I appreciate your devils advocate approach to this subject Intense! as this is something that will make people or break people.

I'd guess quite a few. I'm trying to prioritize so I don't lose sight of my goals.

Shockingly the amount of time I spend testing feature ideas is only about a day or two. Which luckily for me I made up for between yesterday and today.

Without saying too much, I already have my next game partially planned out. Most of the features and work I've done for this game should make development for that game quite easier than this one.

Besides I figure setting a date should help me with that. As long as I continue to map out development projections, setting goals and deadlines I should be fine. It's the free reign that kills me sometimes and others I'm sure.

Wow, what an experience. I really enjoyed reading about Motion Capture as well as the trip to Funcom. I have a friend who lives in Oslo and another near Stavanger.

Somehow you Vikings continue to impress me, keep up the good work. It looks like a very cool game.
