Don't beat yourself up about it, it's like Templarfreak said. M&B is not a popular game anymore, everyone plays either Warband or the 2 expansions.

I understand that it's way too much work to port it, but just know that it'd probably be a lot more popular if it was for Warband.

I think anyone who has attempted game-developing has had those same thoughts at some point. Great analysis.

In my opinion, the best idea is to completely pin down exactly what you want from your game and make sure everyone has the time, effort and skill to fulfill it. However, this is usually also the most painstaking and time consuming part of developing games.

Good luck with DoV! Hope it works out.

Oh, wow, this sounds absolutely amazing.
I sense the beginning of Fallout 4 on this very mod-page.

Great to see progress on this mod is still powering on.
Maybe MOTY is far too ambitious a title considering how little promotion there's been, but I sure hope we'll see another top 30 finish this year ;)

Great news nonetheless.

Heck, you're not the only one with a robo fetish.

On a more normal note, the model is looking sickeningly good, I'm loving the detail. The arms and weapons are looking especially nice.

Wow, this sounds absolutely amazing. Credits to the story, it has both zombies and mecha, whilst still keeping (fairly) authentic.

Thanks for taking the time with the writing, it was a very interesting read.

Great you're making progress.
It's a bit of a heavy load to learn mapping on a beast like this, but it seems like you've pulled through for the better.

This doesn't even need texturing, a checkered-painted mecha would be ridiculously scary to fight ;)

Looking very aweet and detailed. I've always felt wargames have generally lacked useful mecha.
Thanks for making all the right decisions ;)

Wow, I can't believe this was just updated. I thought we'd lost if for good.
It's amazing to see you're still working on it, I hope you all the best.

Although, what I found to be most annoying in DoW2 was that the enemy AI would completely avoid the army you meticulously set up, and instead run around friendly lines capturing resource points.
The only way to guard all of them was to completely spread out your army - which was pointless.
So, what I'm wondering is if there will be some sort of "guard" system for points. Something that means I don't have to run back and forth through all my resource points like some gardener with obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Although I did like the idea of resource points, so it was really just a minor nuisance.

Couldn't agree with you more, Team TLD.

It normally takes some time to filter out the idiots from a ModDB page, but some here are just annoying.

Don't you realise how huge this mod is? Don't you realise how much FREE time was spent on this mod?
And you dare even demand anything? If you can't even bother to register on a forum for this, then you don't even deserve playing it.

Not only did they meticulously construct this mod from scratch, but they were also nice enough to register an official forum for it. With the forum, it's easier to keep track of everything and follow players' thoughts about the game. Then you come along and complain.

I hope you understand what an idiot you have been.
I'm not a developer, but I can speak for everyone when I say that the developers would be better off without you even noticing this mod.

It's also annoying when people have to make walls of text to explain what an idiot someone else is. (Yes, I was hypocritical towards myself on purpose). But I just had to tell you off, you didn't even come with any constructive criticism.

TLD is awesome, I wish you all the luck on the continuation of the mod.

It's been a long time coming.
I almost figured without Rausheim here, there'd be far too few people to work on such a gigantic project.
I'm sorry, I'd love to help, but I'm just an amateur.

Whatever you choose to do now, good luck. The work so far looks great, though, would be a shame to leave it.

This isn't so nice to see when you're on the other side of the battlefield.

Actually, it's quite terrifying.

Didn't think making something scary was possible in M&B, great work on that.

Ccx55 - - 98 comments @ Buena Vista Overview

For example, there were some areas with large pipes stretching out from buildings. Parallel from these obstructions, there were some times other buildings or structures.

It looks very nice and realistic, but creates a strange area to fight in. With barely any space to stand and shoot from, it might feel clumsy squeezing together all your units together so closely.

It wouldn't be much of a problem in short numbers, but in greater combat you'd need a much more open area.

I hope I'm coming through clear, it probably won't be a big problem when playable, but just a minor concern to point out. It still looks amazing either way.

Ccx55 - - 98 comments @ Buena Vista Overview

I love the scale of this location.
Most places in fallout looked a bit weak, because they were so small. Everything in Buena Vista seems so.. Huge. It's pure candy for the eye. I like the pipes and moss as well, gives it a very surreal feeling.

However, it does look a bit clumsy. Not so much walking around in, but having major combat seems impossible in such long, narrow corridors.

Either way, I love the design work. I like the music as well, it was a great choice for the particular video. And your accent is just awesome.

I love how deliciously depressing it looks. It also does exactly what Fallout New Vegas failed at, making things look post-apocalyptic.
I love the extreme detail and care given to every single area, it just looks so professional.
