Yes, isbeorn is correct. The screens above were taken from a small OpenGL testbed that I have running on my machine in order to test shader stuff before it gets integrated into the game - the disco lights are simply because I put random colour values in for testing.

Everything about this system is geared towards performance - were it 'just' a case of the cosmetic effects of marginally nicer lighting then frankly, this would be an incredibly low priority task but it isn't. The performance issues are a big problem and we certainly wouldn't want to release a Steam version which had glaring performance issues, early access or not, in the same way that we didn't want to update the Desura build until that build was reasonably stable.

The current splitscreen multiplayer works in all game modes - it's just the Last Stand mode is the easiest way for us to test it. And future plans have not changed regarding proper full multiplayer (LAN, online support, etc). The splitscreen stuff is just a nice little extra :)

Kate and Bob will definitely be coming back and be expanded upon. NPC systems need to be in place for that, which is the only reason it's currently absent.

'Till Death Do Us Part' is heavily reliant on the NPC structure which is currently undergoing a substantial overhaul. We hope to get the story back in (and then expanded) soon.

Don't care about stability? We spent about two weeks trying to fix a problem that one single person on our forum had in getting the game to run! Post your problem in our forum (http://www.theindiestone.com/community/viewforum.php?f=22) and we'll look into it.

You can find download links for Homesick on Chloe's Youtube page (right-hand panel) Youtube.com

You can consider the cost of PZ as the donation for Homesick, so it's PZ you're getting for free rather than Chloe's game.

It's a bug - we've only just put the character creation back in so there's a bunch of things to fix with it

Plank + Nails = Nail_Plank is already in ;)

(in this test version 0.2.0, anyway)

The Desura version will update once version 0.2.0 is out of testing. If you want to play the test build (be warned, there will be bugs), you can download it from our forum, or you can just wait until testing is complete at which point you'll receive it automatically.

The Desura version will auto-update once we're finished testing the update. The version that everyone is playing is the public test version (which anyone with a Desura key or Username/Password can play if they download it from our forum and are happy to play a version that contains bugs and is frequently patched).

Thankyou :) The impassable door problem has been fixed our end and should be fixed in maybe 0.2.0d.

We probably need to make flashlights a little more common than they currently are. The idea is to make dark areas dangerous such that your options are to risk attack by an unseen zombie, or to carry a flashlight which alerts zombies / hostile NPCs to your presence.

This is the first version we've released with this sort of level of light to dark contrast, and we'll continue to tweak as we develop :)
