Looks similar to the Combine Guard Gun.
For me it looks similiar to Quake lightning gun, but HD
Maybe ease down the charging and fire anims to make it less spastic.
Other than that this is a pretty awesome replacement!

You should change the Beams and Particles to Light Blue or Whiteish Blue.
Thats Impossible without code editing.
