Any idea why the files in gamedata\configs\gameplay\ that are identical to the vanilla ones are included in this? I'm talking about:
character_desc_general_army.xml
character_desc_general_ecolog.xml
character_desc_general_greh.xml
character_desc_general_isg.xml
character_desc_general_killer.xml
character_desc_general_renegade.xml

All those files are identical to the default ones, why include them?

Seems like this game will be in the fantasy genre instead of action, with the war going on. Israel will wipe the Gaza strip from the face of the earth and this game will just be a "What if..." scenario.

I want to use the Renegade Storm addon mod along with this. Are the two working good together and if yes, what is the installation order? There are 2 conflicted files WORLD.MAP and resource.qrc and it seems the renegade storm has bigger file size (to accommodate the additions?)

Does this patch work with the new update? Something tells me that since they updated the whole engine to 64bit, every patch/fix out there needs to be updated...

Does this modified version work on offline lan mode too, or only on dedicated server?

What are you talking about? Choose DirectX 8 or 9 in the launcher and that way it can run on a potato. I got it running on a GTX260, a 10 year old GPU at 60FPS.

If you have older than a 10year old system, maybe you should save some cash and upgrade to a 5 year old pc build.

I dunno, most races are stable with no problems featuring the DLC cars, but the beginning and end of events are crash-prone. Just few moments ago I completed a 3 race event only to crash just before autosaving, losing my progress.

Way too many crashes on race entering or completion. The game crashes either on the results page (where you are awarded the reputation/money awards) or when entering an event.

Using RD:G GOG version on Win10x64 and following the installation instructions.

You can. When running the executable, select directx 8 on the graphic options, and with this you can run it on a potato.

Does this unofficial patch need 1.01/1.1 official patch already installed or can it be installed directly on the vanilla retail 1.0 version?

Also, since I'm missing the sounds and voices, I installed the russian fixed audio. THat mod changes 2 files main.fat and gf_sounds.grp. Do these 2 files conflict with this patch and what is the recommended install order?

Is this compatible with FoxAhead's Multifixer?

Edit: It is. According to PCGamingWiki, Multifixer does not touch the .exe or .dll files, so it is used in conjuction with other mods.

You can get a high FPS 1080p performance with a pre-GTX10xx GPU and with less than 6GB VRAM too. Got a solid 60FPS with a GTX960m 4GB only with SSAO disabled on one of my machines.

Don't forget this is a mod with a slight altered game engine (32bit->64bit) from 2010 with some texture improvements. That's 10 years ago, any card released later than 2012 can amptly handle the DX11 requirements at very high/ultra settings.

I'm seeing conflicting comments about the performance and stability of 1.5.2. Some comments present serious bugs while others praise the smoothness. What is the general consencus?

Will this be for the Steam version only? I have the GOG version and don't plan on buying it on Steam.

You may have confused STALKER Anomaly's engine for STALKER ShOC' engine. This game is based on the STALKER CoP engine (a 2011 game with dirext11 and shader 5.0 support), not the ShOC engine.

In comparison, FNV is based on the FO3 engine, which in turn is based on the Oblivion engine. That is a 2006 engine with no directx 11 support and limited things in graphics. I run FNV on ultra on my 10 year old Core2Duo+GTX260 old computer machine. Anomaly can't run on that machine on DirectX 11, only on DirectX 9, and that at no more than 70FPS.

For Anomaly that uses the 64bit version of the CoP engine, you may need a little bit higher than whatever recommended requirements CoP had at that time, since Anomaly introduces new shader support, higher textures, etc.

TBH, you can play Anomaly at 1080p@60 on ultra on any Integrated graphics card from 2018 till now (9th gen Intel and up). If aiming for a desktop, a 9th/10th gen Intel and a 16XX nvidia series will more than suffice for a ENBshader on top of the vanilla experience.

GTFO, you're the scum of the modding scene. Whole games (not mods) are made for free (e.g. STALKER Anomaly) and you ask a price that current games offer for an engine of a decade old game?

You forget what modders got for charging Skyrim mods when there are a myriad free mods out there. They got the boot. Again, GTFO, this is a free mod sharing site.

On my perspective, I have it installed on a 5 y.o PC with a GTX 980 4GB GPU, an i7 7th generation CPU, 16GB RAM and I play this at maximum settings on 1080p resolution at 100+FPS. I even have the game installed on a HDD instead of a SSD, so I imagine the performance would be even better on SSD. Even if I have a newer machine than this (RTX 3090 AORUS, i9-11900k, 32GB RAM, NVME m2 disks), I don't have it installed on that, since it's an overkill.

That x64 engine update surely made all that possible (call of chernobyl had some stuttering on the same machine and it uses the 32bit engine)

Forgotten hope 2 update launcher uses the peer 2 peer system to update the game? Jesus Christ, those 300KB/sec from 4 peers sure are a way to handle updates...

I'm sitting here for 4 hours and it barely moved past 25%. Why torrent the updates and not have them retreived from a server? I mean there are only 4 people seeding the updates, is that an indication of how crowded the game is?

Couldn't agree more. Fired up Freelancer Discovery for the first time a few years back, picked up a freighter/miner or something like that and went on my merry business mining asteroids on a relatively empty and peaceful system. Within 5 minutes, a veteran pirate player showed up and started chasing me, a level 1 noob on several systems.

I promptly uninstalled it and thought if I was being chased by some random veteran player in a half-dead conversion mod, imagine what chaos I would face when the mod was at its peak.

Yes there are, and you can also spawn them yourself.
The military base in agroprom has a player-controlled APC with a turret, in Darkscape also an APC is located besides the petrol station, and i think there is a military jeep in dead city.

But you can spawn vehicles using the in-game spawner by pressing esc and S during gameplay. Turning on the ignition is done with the O button and the rest controls are with the WASD.

It doesn't fit. No vehicles are allowed in the Zone since 1986 due to a military-imposed quarantine, and we all know that era was a Cold-War era. Taking in account that the Zone is in a Warsaw Pact region at that time, only vehicles (or vehicle debris) from USSR are seen in the actual game. And any vehicles still operating (turret mounted APC, helicopters)that the military brings in are also Russian made.

Mercenaries can't do anything without the military sanctioning it, especially bring a military vehicle behind the quarantine.

1.4.22. Over 700 hours of gameplay with that version and it crashed 3 times, all of them during map transitions, when the game autosaves anyway, so you don't lose anything.

Lol big deal. I always run CoC and Anomaly without CoP installed. Why waste 6GB of hard disk space when you can get the game working without CoP?
