Did what you said. it still doesn't install in fact ubuntu software centre says its "The package is of bad quality": details: The package doesn't provide a valid Installed-Size control field. See Debian Policy 5.6.20. I install anyway it says its installed but I can't find it anywhere. Thanks for the help. But if I keep hitting brickwalls like this with Linux, I considering going back to windows.
