It's a prototype of a game and so we didn't yet test the game properly to be able to say what it runs on and what it doesn't run on. Prototype is used to evaluate core mechanics, and to collect input from the players as what changes they'd like to be made to the game, so we can iterate with players in mind. Whatever you find doesn't work in the game, that you think should work, you can use a feedback form from the game options to let us know.

Lags are mostly connection related, and for this, you have the option to select your region, when you are logging in the game. US, EU, JP, CN (ASIA), AU (AUSTRALIA). You need to select the closest region to eliminate lags.

That's right, it's not yet at all worthy of a Beta title. I internally call it prototype, although would be called Pre-Alpha by most people.

So yes, pre-alpha testing means you play the game for free, but anything you earn will later become available for withdrawal from your account, once people start to play in real cash competitions. Thanks.

While in prototype stages, we allow players to freely enter matches and keep their prizes. These prize will be withdrawable in future versions. Next version will fix a few final things in the prototype, after which a version will come that will allow cash competitions.

The competitions will feature 10 cents up to maybe even 100 dollars entry fees, but we'll limit the fees to some small value like 20 cents in the beginning and then add them as skills of players go up and demand for higher stakes go up.

But until then, playing is free and what you earn will later become real withdrawable money.

Thanks, they represent different classes that were important to have when the game was being developed as a tactical strategy.
Even if we changed to a tactical action shooter game, they will eventually be put into the game in some form, when we are ready to develop more classes.

Thanks Bibiki, We will mix cardboard sounds for Sound FX, but still aren't sure about music. Send over some portfolio if you can, and we'll listen to it. We are now getting ready to launch our kickstarter, and after it is complete will start to cooperate with other professionals.

Looks really good. We love procedurally generated content and your environments most certainly are/could be.
If you added some mechanics that require players to explore the map visually, it would also make perfect sense to put this on a boARd, like our game is/can be. Keep it up.

Yes, the "feathers" on their heads will reflect each characters battle experience... But the correct way to say this is carton Native-Americans :)

The term Cartoneros actually originates in South America, and is used to label waste pickers. But we like to transport the tribalism aspect of Indians into the game.

Thanks for your suggestion. This is exactly what we have in mind.
We are aiming for a cartoony look as in this picture: Flic.kr
But this style may still be adjusted.

What you are able to see are really just placeholder graphics of the basic set of objects,
of the prototype. In the later versions, we would like to have characters remodelled to have more unique shapes as well to enhance their unique identities.

We like cardboard, because you can easily shape it into anything, but your creations are a bit abstract, so you also need to have a little bit of imagination. This is also why it is so popular among children, when they build stuff on their own.

We did not want to emphasise the creativity aspect, but wanted to show that people can use the resources they have at hand in any situation, and that way drive the recovery of the environment and society.
This is actually what the game is about, and we wanted to show that it translates directly to our world. Cardboard is an abstraction that should help communication...
