Will both "Ally" or "Enemy" version of HECU be the same? Like, the whole part of their uniform [head to toe]. Or are you gonna create separate version of each...the way valve and gearbox handled." Well, I'm assuming the other way around since guard duty is kinda more close to valve and also uses the valve assets [meaning the original games where the original half-life's hecu was used in blue-shift] so, that's why I'm asking if you're gonna take the original half-life as main thing for guard duty or you're gonna think just like gearbox and say "let's show our skills and make two different version of both hecu where used in different games." But considering gearbox was a different company and they wanted to tamper around the system just to be original from valve and created new types of monsters and hecu for opposing force.

Let's read it ---> "Original mod had many non-canon parts so we're gonna replace them with more canon-friendly parts." O-okay...So, all I see is "Shephard part is one of the non-canonical parts so we're gonna take it out and then we're gonna add something/someone more canon than he already is." If I'm wrong, then what the hell and also who cares, right? 'Cause pretty much someone gonna say "You're so stupid [as also saying you're an idiot for not reading the description first and making a comment about your stupid ideas before that "yeah, right and I killed 5 people before coming here] or you're so stupid enough to misread everything" Anyway, even I know you people are gonna mark this comment as so much negative enough to make it disappear [for reading it as thinking I'm so mean towards either devs or the others] whatever, all I wanted was to tag and run...seems you don't need any nor want. [yeah, I'm sharing this comment by posting as a new one because I didn't read the label of "reply" button. oh, look at that...it's stupid me again.]

Later, tater.

First of all, YOU NAILED IT! [By making a remake of one of the BADASS MODS!!!"

Anyway, enough of the excitement :A

Here's my question. In the original of Azure Sheep, we encounter Adrian Shephard [the most loved character of all in the freaking HALF-LIFE universe non-cannon or not [not gonna trying to create "it's cannon" - "not it's not" thing]. So, my question is, are you gonna expand it further? Like, making it longer to travel with him as our companion or so. Well, it was goddamn cool to see him [and being his friend?] and killing those hostile special forces with him [even just few minutes or so] But it would [definitely] be something else to continue a little longer [maybe more than little] with him on our mission.

Anyway, if you're gonna do it or not, this mod is still gonna be so cool to play! [just like old times...and this time with all the new things!]

Keep up the good work and good luck on your success.

Here's "the" question which everybody was craving to know! [Well, mostly me...but what the hell, right] Anyway, in the original half-life and also Opposing Force, we could use the code "impulse 76" to spawn the enemy version of HECU...so, my question is "Are you planning on creating model of enemy version of HECU?"

Oh, and one more thing [About Spawning Ally Grunts] If you're planning on adding other codes for us to spawn ally grunts...then are you gonna make them carry the weapons? Or are you gonna leave them as empty handed just like gearbox did?

Dude, you're thinking overmuch. This is not real. I'm not real. This is about aliens and whatnots'.

This is sci-fy. Fiction.

Also, where in the hell you've seen that I've defended Gearbox? You clearly haven't read my last entry. Which I had stated all of the facts about HECUs awareness.

Dude, Black Ops are completely another story. HECU couldn't be able to contain the Black Mesa incident. So, the command sent the Black Ops to finish the job and silence any Black Mesa Personnel alongside HECU.

Look, HECUs orders were to silence the whole facility. But the command wanted Freeman alive at one point. The command decided to question him for what happened since HECU couldn't be able to kill him. When they had successfully captured Freeman...those two soldier ignored their orders and decided to kill him. Which they failed.

Anyway, the Black Ops tried to do the same thing. I mean, killing all the black mesa personnel and the remaining HECU forces. But there was another role for their involvement. They were given orders to bomb the whole facility.

But you're forgetting something, man. Someone, I should say.

G-Man...

He is the one why all this mess started. He is the one who called the shots and brought that crystal to Black Mesa and made sure its tested so...Resonance Cascade can happen.

Remember Half-Life 2 Episode Two where Eli talks about Gman?

Eli: unforeseen consequences...the last time I heard those words was back at Black Mesa. You had just stepped into the test chamber when he whispered them in my ear. You know who I'm talking about. Our mutual friend. When he brought in that crystal I knew...I should have aborted that test but I didn't. The whole world went to hell that day.

Gman has employers, right? So, he is just an employee. There are a lot of rumors and theories about him. But I can tell you this...he's calling the shots. Hell you can even see him at Boot Camp in Opposing Force where he's talking to one of the commanders. Now, tell me. Do you really believe it is not possible to use the whole base? Gman wanted them to go to Black Mesa. He and his employers are the one that controls everything. Well, was...I should say. They're weak now since the Combine took over. We can talk all day 'cause there are lots of things there is to it. Anyway, I hope you got my point.

You want to know what Gordon think?

I thought not.

By the time they've got orders to pull out, they never stepped down killing any black mesa personnel in Half-Life. So why would they have done that in Opposing Force?

Oh yes, I know. 'Cause I had listened to the radio where it played out in SURFACE TENSION.

Radio: "Come in! Cooper, do you copy? Forget about Freeman. We're
abandoning the base. If you have any last bomb targets, mark them on the technical map. Otherwise, get the hell out of there. Repeat: we are pulling out and commencing airstrikes. Give us targets or get below."

Oh, and here's another one in FORGET ABOUT FREEMAN.

Radio: "Forget about Freeman! We are cutting our losses and pulling out! Anyone left down there now is on his own! Repeat: if you are not already, you are-"

Hey Gordon, what do you say about that buddy?

Gordon: ..................

I know man, I know. You don't have to tell me. I played the game hundreds of times. I know what you've been through.

Let's put this chapter to an end DEVS of Operation Black Mesa.

You need to look at the pieces all together. Not just one and drag others away.

In Opposing Force, HECU already recognizes the Black Mesa Personnel as hostile. How? Here's my proofs.

Location: Welcome To Black Mesa; Lab Airlock.

Scene: Otis, the chubby security guard kills a zombie and turns you away from airlock door when you haven’t put on your PCV vest.

Otis: Sorry, Shephard, sir uh. See now I was told not to open this door for ya, until you agree to help us.

That means, some of them already know the real facts. They're forcing Shephard to help them escape from Black Mesa. Not clear enough? Alright, let's try again.

Location: Welcome To Black Mesa; Lab Airlock.

Scene: Once you’ve put on your PCV vest, Otis opens the security door for you and says.

Otis: Ok Shephard, I see you found your power vest, that should keep you save out there. See now I’ve heard rumors, that you troops may not actually be here to rescue us. Just don’t forget about us out there!

You see? There are rumors already wandering around steel corridors that at least some of the survivors knows military are not here to rescue them. Otis and the other scientists are relying on Shephard. That explains why they even tried to save him where his helicopter crashed.
Or you can easily say, those survivors didn't meet the hostile version of HECU yet. Anyway, let's move on shall we?

Location: ”We Are Pulling Out”; The Room With Locked Scientist.

Scene: Break the glass to meet a very frightened scientist inside the next room. While you’re doing that, Otis will unlock a closet with MP5 grenades and ammo.

Scientist: Oh no. You are one of the.. them. Can’t we just get along?

So, what do we have here? A scientist which faced/saw HECU killing their colleagues. So, this one knows why they're here for. But still, he asks for mercy. You want to be one of the HECU from Half-Life, then go ahead and shoot him in the head. Because that scientist already knows what's going on. After you're done, let's continue.

Location: Missing In Action; Garage Area.

Scene: Near an elevator shaft you meet a scientist barricaded behind a table, rather arrogant, considering circumstances.

Scientist: I don’t know what’s worse? You soldiers under orders to silence the facility or these wild aliens.

So, here we are...another scientist knows what you're here for. He was already hiding from HECU and aliens. So, kill him or don't kill him. That's your choice to obey your orders or not. Gordon had to kill every HECU he's seen because they were trying to kill him every chance they've had. But in Opposing Force, it's up to you to do it. Since not even security guards are attacking you, you don't get a chance to fight with them.

Now, you want to see if your fellow HECU companions kills them or not? Then, read this part very carefully.

Location: Missing In Action; Office Floor.

Scene: In the room under the hole in floor, where you’ll find yet another frightened scientist.

Scientist: When all the fighting started I hid myself here. I don’t think any of them above have survived.

If you know the place, then you know there are 2 soldiers above where they're left behind as well. So, when they shows up...let one of them follow you to side of the entrance where you climbed up there. And make sure the scientist is visible to your companion. When he sees the scientist, he will recognize the scientist as hostile. And alert nearby soldiers right before he starts shooting at the scientist.

So, here's where it lies the only question needs to be answered devs. Will your HECU recognize Black Mesa Personnel as hostile?

I've played this game many times over, Shephard being one of my favourite characters of all time.

On the initial flight in Private Jackson (the engineer) mentions that he believes that it's a training mission, Private Tower (the black grunt) says he thinks it's a babysitting job, or security detail. You'll actually be able to hear exactly what the Sergeant says just before you get shot down, Sergeant: ''OK, listen up people! We have an extremely hostile situation on our hand. Recon has not been able to determine the amount of our opposition, so let’s keep this tight. Your mission is to get.. ****! Goddamn it!'' and he jumps out, so Shephard and his squad never get official orders.

As Shephard is saved by the science team, he would have to assume they're friendly as he would have no reason to suspect otherwise. It must be noted that at no point is Shephard given any exact reason as to why they were sent in. Even when the scientist is being interrogated at the start of Missing in Action, as Shephard may believe that the other Marines want Freeman to explain the events that are occuring (as Shephard is unaware that he has actually killed a number of Marines), rather than thinking that the mission is to actually kill all the survivors.

After Shephard is left behind his mission becomes irrelevant as survival is the only important thing, so he works with whoever is available to give him the highest chance of survival against the aliens and black ops.
My last thought on Shephard, as he is a silent protagonist, he has whatever personality we want for him essentially, but I don't believe that Shephard is some stupid grunt who would just blindly follow orders, Shephard is a survivor and will do whatever it takes to survive.

Dude, don't get me wrong...I'm with you on this. I mean, I wish things were different and Shephard really did got his orders to kill the Black Mesa personnel (not that I hate them but would be cool see fighting between HECU vs BMP).

Anyway, just my thoughts on the matter.

But there is actually something...One of the scientists mentions this.

Location: Missing In Action; Garage Area.

Scene: Near an elevator shaft you meet a scientist barricaded behind a table, rather arrogant, considering circumstances.

Scientist: I don’t know what’s worse? You soldiers under orders to silence the facility or these wild aliens.

So my guess is some soldiers got the orders to kill/silence the black mesa personnel. But Shephard didn't get the orders or he did received them but under the circumstances, he changed his mind and did what he had to do to survive. That means, having allies.

Just my thoughts on the matter.

In Opposing Force, we only get to see the Apache in the intro. After that, no more encountering with HECU Apache.

At some point, we get to see Apache of Black Ops.

So, my question is...do you plan adding a few scenes?...where it comes to our rescue (some kind of help/aid)

Or maybe a scene where it gets shut down by Black Ops while the Apache was killing the monsters.

In Opposing Force we've seen:

HECU Medic
HECU Soldiers
HECU Engineers

Are you planning adding more? Some more things here and there?

Like someone who likes...no no...someone who loves explosives. And is expert in.

Also, do we get to see a powerful minigun-wielding soldier?

Zombies...zombies and zombies. What do we have in Opposing Force? Gnome, zombie_scientist, zombie_security and zombie_soldier. They each represent a person whose fate is sealed off when he met his demise.

Anyway, my question is Are you planning on making a chubby zombie security guard?

Also there is another question I want to ask...

Any words on female versions of security guards, scientists and marines? Do you plan making also the female ones as well? (Just asking)

Thank you for responding for all of my questions.

Now then, there is something I wanted to ask. Just out of curiosity.

In Half-Life, we get to see (almost every time) Osprey dropping off soldiers (endlessly). Well, the thing is Osprey was a very important thing for Half-Life.

In Opposing Force, we only get to see dead ones and so on. Not actually the one who drops off any marines. My only guess is ''Gearbox didn't think it was necessary to do that. It was not an important factor to show off.''

Anyway, I just wanted to ask if you plan on making a scene like one of those we see in Half-Life. Soldiers comes and goes so as those aliens. Would be cool to see some back-up, you know...(I don't know how to describe this one) are you planning on making a battle which soldiers vs aliens (including Shephard fighting with them and Osprey dropping off soldiers into the hot zone). I can only imagine it would be hard as hell to do all the work but damn wouldn't that be awesome and cool?

Anyway, thank you for your all hard work.

In the mean time, I've got another question for you (Probably more than one). But before I start, let me say a few things. This is not hatred. Just curiosity. Don't know what you're planning...I mean, the simple remake of the original? Or something more? I'll pick the second one. Anyway, here's the bullet storm.

We always get to hear ''We've got hostiles. Alien Alert'' etc. and all that. Will they be aware of the situation they're getting themselves into? (also the environment) I don't exactly expect one meaning out of that one. I mean, if we count how many hostiles are out there? Monsters, humans and all that. Will they even refer those creatures as they're more than AI? Not just ''Oh, hey hostiles incoming...take cover'' right? I know they're not scientists and all. But at least they can say this ''Goddamn it...another one of those little bastards is coming this way'' (Talking about headcrabs)

That also reminds me...you know how many nicks the zombies got in The Walking Dead, right? Walkers, lurkers, biters etc. and all that. Of course I'm not expecting them to say ''Walker is biting me, ****'' Will we hear them using the exact word ''Zombie''? Also, when a soldier sees another zombie soldier is he gonna say ''Damn it, how many souls we've lost''?(souls...yup hope you see what I meant there)

Let's come to the field of battle that we have no chance of winning. First of all, are we gonna see some real fighting between human grunts and aliens? (can't wait to see the fight between agrunts and hgrunts also the alien slaves) Can I assume that there will be scars? While playing the Operation Black Mesa...will I get to say ''Oh, look. Few hgrunts bodies are there and look zombies got them? (can be anything actually).

There are millions of other questions are just waiting for you at the end of the line. But I guess, I better be quiet before anyone take this whole crusader as an evil thing. Anyway, like I said, I'm just trying to learn more about the game.

In Half-Life, HECU only talk through their radios so Gordon could hear them somehow. In Opposing Force, HECU never uses their radios...they always talk directly (not talking about those radios we can interact with like at the crash site) My question is, will you make them use their radios once in a while? Are we gonna hear the radio chatter when we're with them (or at least near them)?

I pity you. Go ahead and show your karma. But remember, it will never change the facts. You folks don't know anything. Sometimes I wonder if you all are just bunch of kids. If you knew the reasons behind my actions, you would have thought it for a second. Instead, you're all thinking as mindless zombies. Hell, even zombies have a good instinct. There were nice people here...clever people. But now, just kids. DoN't get the meaning? Then, read those comments and see how many likes that they received. Not receiving any meaningful message anyway when I ask a question or share my thoughts. You're not even talking about a thing. You're talking nonsense. You're not discussing anything. You're okay if it's positive and it's stupid. But you're not okay if it's criticism. The funny thing is...this one never changes I guess, you're all kissing the devs *****. At least be a man enough to say no or make a negative comment about it when there is needed. But no, you can't do that. Anyway, I'm done. Go ahead and hang out with each other. 'Cause you all deserve each other.

That was one of the piece of my message. I cut it. There were lots of things that I wanted say..still I want to say. But you don't deserve to hear that. 'Cause you won't understand it anyway. And one more thing bothers me, companion following system. Your companion follows you as a robot. You know, it never makes you feel like someone...a person is following you. I don't know how to explain this but I'll do my best. I want to feel the same feeling when I saw The Walking Dead's Shiva...how it makes me feel like there was a real tiger in the show. You know how she moves, how she makes you feel her existence. It's maybe an unrealistic thought but at least if it really makes its own show then it really is something. I just want to feel like there is a person or there is really something there with me while exploring the story. Black Mesa did really an amazing job. But still there are things that they ignored. You said ''this remake is not about only graphics but about telling a story''. I don't want to be the only hero in this story. That's what I'm saying...those soldiers who were sent to Black Mesa...I want them to have a meaning. Want to feel, they're there. Fighting, dying, trying to survive. While running away from monsters, even some of them must have barricaded some place to avoid being attacked. Yeah, it sounds really pain in the *** job. But it's really something. The reason is this is about Soldiers. They're the ones in the front lines. We have to feel like they're also trying to survive and doing what they're told, you know.

ALright folks ''Question Time''...it maybe sound way too stupid as it sounds but still wondering. You know old hl and opfor or other game modes..sometimes npcs talk to each other right? But they always talk like a robot. And sometimes some of the things doesn't even add up. So, it will probably change with this. But will you expand the things they say? Are they going to really communicate each other? Like, will they be aware of the situation and the surroundings? I mean, not everything but still somethings right? I'm hoping they are gonna make even some comments about the things they saw as a monster :D and jokes about scientists, security guards etc. Hope you understand the stuff I'm talking about :I

Those weren't some innocent thoughts. If you call them a thought, go ahead. You twisted my words (That means, you're restating my words in a way that would not mean the same thing).

You said ''.you do realise that before the last update the previous update was on March 2014''
My answer: I don't understand what you're implying. Still, I've never mentioned anything about previous updates...never said they are not enough or anything like that.

And I know the fact...they know we want to see something new.

Again your words which you're clearly trying to twist my words again: but by writing "we want something new" (which is similar to "we want more") you´re not helping...
My answer: I don't know why you're trying to twist my words. I only said ''WE ALL WANT TO SEE SOMETHING NEW''...I repeat ''WE ALL WANT TO SEE SOMETHING NEW''. I didn't say ''YOU MUST SHOW US SOMETHING NEW'' I didn't say ''YOU WILL SHOW US SOMETHING NEW''. I didn't demand anything. Those were just my thoughts. You know what demand means, right? And I'm not helping? Not helping to what? I didn't post any negative comments...I didn't try to change people's minds. I didn't ''TWIST'' anybody's words. You're right about one thing by writing that sentence...You're right, I'm not helping their project because I'm not one of the creators or a developer. I'm not in their team. I'm not working with them.

I've been following this mod for 6 years...(since 2010)

Again, it's been so long since the last update.

Look, pal...it's not about seeing some new stuff just to know if this mod is still alive. It's about knowing that they work really hard to finish this game. We've seen lots of updates until this day. Yeah, I know. But seeing new things always the best. We know they work hard to finish it. But not seeing something new makes you feel like they don't want to deal with it that much. Just they're reluctantly doing it just because they gave their words. I mean, if we're gonna see those updates every December, then what's the whole point for hearing ''You're gonna see some stuff soon. Don't worry, you'll see something soon''. They can just say at the beginning of every year ''We are gonna post new stuff at the end of the year. Just be patient''. (I'm not saying that you should post new updates every months...but at least they could have posted something new in the middle of 2016.)

First of all, I didn't say anything about December media release. I didn't say anything about it's not enough for me or anyone. I have a wonderful quote for you 'When someone accuses you of doing something you're not doing, it's usually because they're the ones doing it''...that means you. By the way, read my previous comments about this mod because you know nothing about me. Don't ever accuse me something that I'm not.

1. I didn't say anything about why they are not showing us new things. All I said ''It's been so long we want to see something new. Or at least something that can tell us the waiting will be over soon. Not just your words''...(Don't trust everything you see. Even salt looks like sugar)

2. Again, I didn't demand anything I just said my thoughts. Hello???

3. Again with the Jesus, I know they explained why...It's been so long, do you know what that means right? When I said ''How about that promised but not released trailer''...don't you think that trailer/teaser could have been made because we're in 2016. How many days/months passed since that day? (Those reasons were valid that year. Not this.

4. Why are you saying stuff that I didn't even say? You're clearly not okay.

5. Did you know patience means waiting for something? So we are waiting for an update, right? And how many months has passed since the last update? Exactly.
