Or how to tell where the gun aim is pointing and how to get there...
Comparison of C pointers, structs and Quake-C's entity type.
Darkplaces can load Quake III maps. This tutorial will demonstrate how to get the most of those maps by using quake-c to populate them with quake one...
The quake-c entity .think() function pointer is an engine managed timing concept that is used on nearly every entity in the game.
Sigil has been delayed 2 months.
There is a waiting list for an option to buy one: Docs.google.com
I have no idea how that works
Getting ready for the Sigil: Limitedrungames.com
updated gzdoom, and brutal mod
Looked at some doom stuff
it sure seems like doom is getting a lot of love these days
Quake needs love too
Maybe I'll do some quake articles while I wait for Sigil

Anyone here still plays Team Fortress (QTF)?
Happy anniversary Quake!
You have been an awesome game and a great coding experience
well this years moty awards is boring... no quake mods on the list.
Hello QuakeDB :D
I have seen a nice comment about my Quake Video Collection at inside3d.com from Ceriux and he had this link within its signature...
So I just wanted to say this seems very interesting to share Quake stuff and I will come back very soon to see what I can do.
Until then I invite you to see some great videos and, may be, to come back to Quake with the "ready-to-go" Qrack_HD engine available on YouTube (upper-right corner).

Um, is it me or is it seriously broken when you hit "reply to comment"?
I've done it 2 times now, and both replys (for me) appear with the wrong comment...
(And one shifted to the next page and the correct comment when I posted this. Maybe a few more posts will correct the other one.)
G'day guys,
I am a massive QuakeWorld fan, been playing since 2001. Not many people play in Australia anymore, but I still play overseas sometimes (even on a 300+ ping) and against bots. Don't think I will ever stop playing QuakeWorld :D
You guys could like my "Quake Tribute" project for Android. Its on ice right now to have some time for freelance work. If you want me to continue it your interest could make me do it ;) If i manage to finish a few levels, i'll publish it for free for all quake fans.

Anyways - Great to see one of the best games of all times is still loves by more people than me!
Man thats awesome i'm sure anyone who loves quake would enjoy this. have you shared anything on inside3d?
Thanks! I haven't shared anything on inside3d yet. Cause i'm not modding quake i'm not sure if this is the right place ... but i had a look over my tribute Project today and will try to get some spare time to continue the development - Need to do every thing from scratch so it is a bunch of work - Am pretty busy right now too ;)
will your tribute be modder friendly? either way, im sure its going to be great either way!
At this moment i don't think it will any modder friendly - it's really build complex to get a decent FPS at low end devices. And as a tribute enybody should be able to play it... So it is pretty hard to develop. I haven't done anything to it for a while now - i'll probably write a ton of the code new anyway.
Does it use a quake engine for android?
im guessing not :D
Quake on android sounds Fun!! goodluck!(free sounds tasty)
You're right - i'm using the unit³ engine - it's not a mod or a remake - it's my personal tribute - build from ground. I Just thought as i love quake most of you could like the tribute in the end ;)
