How we plan to improve the Desura client and provide capabilities to game developers through the open source project.
Recently, I published an interview with several key Desurium contributors (including the original client's lead developer and DesuraNET's managing director...

I'd be great to see some more activity in this group.
Updates on Desurium would be a very nice thing :]
Hello Desurium community members, I've a question about this project:
What should I use Desurium client insted of the official Desura one?
Is it because all that RSM speech about free source or there is another explanation?
Thanks, I'm a noob about this kind of things ><
Desurium and Desura have a connection just like Chromium and Chrome. the difference is that Desura is a branded binary with an auto updater. Desura also receives official support. Desurium is more up to date and is what will be in distribution repositories. So if you use Linux you should use Desurium.
Hi there guys, I'm Blaise Kinyua of University of Games... A new games development co. from Nairobi Kenya. We have just released the demo version of of first Android game. Go to uogames.net/games to download the .apk file or you can play online. Give us enough feedback for the full version coming mid February.
This might not be the best place to touch base with prospective players (this group is for developers, etc. of the open source Desura client rather than a group of gamers specifically).
Best of luck with your project.
Sometimes the client crash without error information on the console. How do I get more verbose debug information?
you can pass some options to cmake via -D<option>[=<value>]
Debug is off by default
DEBUG OFF will add debug symbols and other
so -DDEBUG ON
also
DEBUG_EXTERNAL OFF same as DEBUG, but for externap deps
could be set as on
also gdb may be a good tool
Fantastic work. Compiled version git on Debian testing (Wheezy / 64-bit) and run very smooth, just a few crashes, but I'll check. Finally video player works, not too difficult to build, support for 32-bit games ok and the logo Desurium is very beautiful. This logo could be the official logo of Desura, it is much more notable logo. Thank you Desurium team.
Can I make a request?
Make it compatible with a little outdated already distros, like Debian 6. Debian 7 is gonna be released in first or second quarter of 2013 so some guys will still use Debian 6 on their desktops.
The source should build on Debian 6. If it doesn't feel free to post Issue on GitHub page.
