Zombie Grinder is the debut game of TwinDrills, an indie game development duo made up of Tim 'Infini' Leonard and Jordan 'Jordizzle' Chewning. It's a multi-platform (windows, mac, Linux!) (also Free!) cooperative multiplayer arcade game, reminiscent in style and gameplay of retro games like 'Zombies Ate My Neighbors' and 'Super Smash TV!', but with the added benefit of some newer game mechanics - achievements, ranking, player-customization, rpg style stats and so forth. The game sports a variety of different game modes, from co-operative 'campaign' style levels, to wave maps and even the classic 'pvp' style game modes - deathmatch, capture the 'bag' and so forth. All of these mods are bristling with a variety of weapons and items, all lovingly displayed in Jordan's classic quirky pixel-art style.

Tim's been busy re-writing the UI! I've been busy doing NOTHING! So I pixelled a bunch of cliff tiles inspired by Mother 3, and made a new wave map! Enjoy! ...IF YOU DARE!!!!

Greetings, gang!!!
Jordan here, with a teeny update on what's been happening in the world of making Zombie Grinder into a game what you can play. Infini's been mad at work re-writing the entire interface to be completely mouseless, and lemme tell you, it feels good! It looks almost identical to the mockups I posted way back in December. I personally haven't been up to much in terms of development. On Christmas I came down with a pretty vicious stomach bug that's still got me feeling dizzy from time to time. I did manage to muck up 3 new hats though, and hats are pretty important, I think. Earlier today Tim was knocking me for being lazy, so I spent a solid probably 5 hours making some new tiles and objects, and I made a new wave map!!! (expect lots of these, because they are hecka easy to make...)

I've been playing a bit of Mother 3 as of late, and if you haven't noticed, Zombie Grinder's art style is kinda an homage to it. Also, dig those beats by surasshu!!!! As with the current soundtrack of the game, this is just placeholder music borrowed from other titles he's worked on, but dang oh man do they sound amazing!!!! We got an obviously hefty update coming soon (not really hefty, but lots of changes) but Tim's waiting for me to muck up a new title screen... I should probably get on that. I just wanted to let you guys know what's been up, and that I love you with all my heart.

~What we think works~

Literally that, we have a rough idea of what we're going for, but the majority of features tend to be one of us going "that would be cool", then trying it out and either keeping or scrapping it depending on how cool it is :3 lol.
