I get a problem no error where the game just gracefully exits out, I am using an i7 core pc and the latest nvidia card on the market atm , I am running win7 64 bit multicore pc high end gaming pc

Lets see, being a dev myself I will try and think of other relevant things and update what I try, I am about to try running the game on a single core

I MAY have found a fix for 64 bit users but want to really test this so give me 2 days, however ran for 30 mins with no crash so gonna try and hour or so but what I noticed was if one goes to the desura vox game properties and they have a 64 bit running OS the path is set to the 32 bit exe namely J:\DesuraInst\Desura\Common\vox\Vox.exe

I manually went into the directory and started vox_64.exe, I would also be curious to find out if its that the 64 bit code is more stable or it is the actual direct running from te game directory thats helped stability? Still this is all just hopeful conjecture because of a bit more of a stable run, so need more time playing before I can be sure

I can confirm bug and that running vox_64 fixes it.

The bug of starting Vox.exe on 64 bit system is probably Desura's fault, so maybe you could make workaround by checking on start in Vox.exe if player is running 64 bit system and if so exit vox.exe and start vox_64.exe.

Yes that is my ultimate goal... having a combined 64 bit and 32 bit application that knows which one to run... its kinda tricky to implement easily though.

thanks for confirming Darkhog as 1 pc with all the factors is never enough, cheers mate

One of the new users has the same bug and isnt 100% into computers in a technical way (Understandable was like that myself at one time) so I sent him a pm trying to explain in as straight forward a way as possible how to find and run the Vox_64.exe directly, unfortunately my path wont work for him as i installed desura on another drive and in another directory but the way i explained it was so he will be able to find it manually himself. If it works for him and other people are struggling i will paste my instructions in here
