Games Programmer Intern
DigiVoodoo – Birmingham

DigiVoodoo is a digital studio which delivers powerful experiences through social media, games, apps and websites.

Now based at the Innovation Birmingham Campus, the team continue to work with clients, universities and directly with their players to bring truly innovative interactive experiences to audiences wherever they are.

DigiVoodoo offer internships to undergraduates, graduates and those who simply want to break into the industry through the DigiVoodoo internship programme. The programme is run to get talented individuals more experience in the industry, something which is very difficult in the current economic environment.

The programme has been running successfully for several months with over a dozen individuals progressing through the programme so far. We have worked alongside these universities and others to offer our internships to their students:

Bolton University
Norwich University
Abertay University
City London University
Anglia Ruskin University
Staffordshire University

You will be based in our studio at the Innovation Birmingham Campus working alongside the design and art team working on new games projects.

Knowledge of C# and Javascript using the Unity game engine is essential. The main role will be to program scripts for games and work on the games in Unity, based on briefs set by the design team. Knowledge and experience of rapid prototyping and agile project management is crucial.

You must send a portfolio or link to a portfolio in order to be considered, this is an unpaid volunteer internship role which is aimed at getting you experience working in a studio and to build your portfolio.
