Trapped, a psychological first person horror game which is being built on the awesome
power of the Unreal Engine 4. The game will be a dark puzzler experience and will have you exploring what should have been a bustling and active high school which is now only a ghostly whisper of what
should have been. Can you uncover the truth behind what has happened here and more importantly do you want to find out?
Hi, we are Exalted Caterpillar Arts a team of University students from Australia which are bringing a vision of dark psychosis and trauma to life. With a team of Artists, Coders and Designers we are aiming to bring an atmospheric, tense experience which will explore the suffering which we all suffer and the darkness in all of us.
Some of the basic features we are hoping to implement into our game will be:
- An Insomnia/Fear system
- Challenging Puzzles with a horrific twist
- Exploration of the human condition
- A disturbingly twisted atmosphere
- Harness the power of the Unreal 4 engine to create a beautifully dark environment.
Over the past few weeks we have been working on the conception of this idea and laying out the overarching story and themes that will exist in the game. We have some amazing concepts for our environments as well as for the various beings which will exist within the world of our game. We have also started working in the Unreal 4 Engine to get a prototype operational.
