Post news Report RSS Working on a full game with more features and content

About one month ago I decided that I was done with this small game. I moved on and started to work on other prototypes, but I always wanted to go back to this and make it longer, add more content and features. I recieved more attention for the game than I though I would, people tweeted to me about the game and the feedback was positive, so my plan is to give more experience to the player and polish the game even more.

In this update I will go through a little about:
- Future plans (more than the "announcement" that I will make a game out of this).
- People I need.
- Approximately release date.
- New features and content.
- Feedback.

Future Plans:
After many hours of thinking I've decided to continue to work on this game. I've found a way to still use this downloadable part of the game in the story. Most of the story will take place before this part of the game, but I will go in and change some small things in the existing build so it fits the rest of the mood of the game.

People I need:
On the level design and script part I can manage on my own just fine, on the art-side it's okay at the moment. What I want is someone who will make the background music for the game, someone who feel that they have the time. But that's not a problem at the moment.

Approximately Release Date:
In my vague planning I should be done in april 2015. Why this date you ask? It's because of personal reasons.

New features and content:
Now for the fun part, for those who played the game might noticed that on the Xbox controller you only used three buttons instead of all four. A big change is that I've added a interact button instead of just standing close to the buttons in game.

I've made a small prototype of some of the new features and they are lasers which can be turned off via a switch or always on and toggling as you can see here. Also a switch which can control a moving object. I know I can create interesting puzzles and environments with these features + the ones that already exist.

- Proof of concept, not final quality of the game.

ProofOfConcept

There will be a new area which is different from the existing one, an industrial planet. On this planet I can play a lot with new mechanics and I've also planned on having some kind of giant robot which will help you traverse through some of the levels. These levels will take more time than other so when these levels will come I don't know.

Feedback:
I just wanted to let you guys know that your feedback is more than welcome and I want to say thank you to those who've tried the game and contacted me somehow.

I once got the feedback that the blue character seemed more like a leader and the pink were just a follower. I've listened to the feedback and now the pink character need to manage on it's own more often than before.

I would love to sign up to help build a game, but my focus is more development, and I'm not good with coding to quite make that leap.

But why don't you try to make a game yourself? I don't know how much knowledge you have already in C# (Unity). But I started here: Youtube.com

He starts from the bottom! :)

But if I need a tester I can sign you up? just send me your e-mail and I will let you know when I need testing! :)
