Leave the farms and cities behind, jump straight into managing your own planets in The Universim, a brand new god-game in development by Crytivo Games and Alexander Koshelkov. The Universim is first and foremost a planet management game. The game begins in the stone age, thousands of years before the modern era. Research plays a crucial role in the game. Players will initially need to reinvent fire in order to survive attacks from wild animals or create cures for deadly viruses and other ailments. We’re developing planets that will have air, weather effects and varying temperatures and natural resources along with deadly natural disasters such as earthquakes, tornadoes, freak storms and meteors. In The Universim you play as a god, you will not interact directly with the population that inhabits your planet, however you will be able to help them. You will have the power to stop wars between cities on your planet or you can ignore them and allow one city to destroy the other.

Crytivo is looking for a Technical artist to support our team in the development of our videogame projects.

Ideal candidate should have at least 2 years experience in Unity and advanced skills in shaders.

We are looking for a person to work remotely & full time in American time zones (From PST in US West coast to BRT in Eastern Brazilian coast).

Here are the desired skills for the job position:

Working remotely is a must as well as good written and verbal skills in english.
Communication skills are paramount.
Self-motivation and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
Ability to familiarize with programs, technical concepts, ideas and problems very quickly.
Proven advanced artistic / technical skills demonstrated in 2D and 3D art creation.
Assist the art department with research, processes, and workflows.
Maintain production pipelines providing technical support for artists.
Develop technical or artistic approaches and new or enhanced technical tools.
Work closely with artists and programmers to pinpoint game performance and memory usage issues.
General ability to use 3d modeling applications such as Maya or 3D Studio Max.
Experience working with and using Unitys Particle system.
Strong knowledge of HLSL/GLSL.
