The Tale of Doris and the Dragon is an episodic, point-and-click adventure game series featuring an elderly lady named Doris who finds herself in Purgatory after passing away on earth. On her journey, Doris meets many weird and wonderful characters that help or try to hinder her progress. Out of this, an unlikely friendship emerges.
Purgatory - Doris finds herself in a strange land with no hope of returning to the world she once knew. After passing away on earth, our brave heroine must journey through the afterlife in search of her husband, Albert.
Puzzles - On her journey, Doris meets a cast of Underworld natives that aren’t always the most helpful. Solve puzzles and help Doris nag her way through the red tape of Limbo’s middle management.
Peril - You wouldn’t think it, but the After life is a dangerous place. With the help of her new found friends, Doris uncovers a sinister plot which threatens to destroy both life and death itself.

Key Features
* A RETRO, PIXEL-ART GAME which reminds you of those 90s classics that you couldn’t forget if you tried. Inspired heavily by LucasArts games such as Monkey Island and Grim Fandango.
* A POINT AND CLICK ADVENTURE is a game genre that emphasises puzzle solving and quirky narrative. The minimalist nature of the interface allows the player to simply ‘point and click’ to explore the world.
* 800+ LINES OF DIALOGUE that are fully voice acted!
* CREATED BY AN INDEPENDENT COMPANY which means that we 100% self-publish, self-fund our project and in-house all of our production
* MUSIC AND SOUND DESIGN has been important to us in every game that we have created together. The Tale of Doris and the Dragon is no exception, with a haunting soundtrack by AssadB; foley and sound design by Ryan Callard.

It's been a couple of weeks since we released and, to be completely honest, the dust is just about settling now. We took a short break last weekend to recuperate, see family and friends that we've been neglecting for months and to finally have some good nights sleep! We were back at it yesterday so you'll be pleased to know that the pesky bug has been fixed. This means you'll be able to get that last achievement - yay! 😀
We've also been getting all misty eyed looking over all the footage that we captured over the years of working on Doris so thought we'd share in the form of a short summary video which you will find below.
Also, we are around on Discord all the time if you want to meet and talk to the devs as well as chat with other Doris 2 fans. 👾 Discord: Discord.gg 🕹️
Press copies are currently being sent out and we are happy to provide assets to any journalists that want to have a look at Doris 2! If you are a journalist / reviewer / youtuber and would like to request a press copy, please get in contact: jay@arrogantpixel.com
Thanks for reading this update and for supporting our efforts to launch this game. After a long development it is great to see all of you so excited about continuing Doris' and Norb's adventure in Limbo.
If you liked the game, we'd love it if you could leave a review on Steam. It really helps us out and you'll be helping other players too. Thank you all once again. 👵 🐉

About Arrogant Pixel:
Formed in 2012 by Ben Simpson, Arrogant Pixel is a small team of six game developers based in South West London. Our ultimate goal is to make high-quality games with memorable characters and a strong narrative. We will never release games that we don’t enjoy playing ourselves. Growing up in the early 90s, we were playing some of the greatest ‘point and click’ adventure games of all time. Our latest game series “The Tale of Doris and the Dragon” is our homage to the genre. As an independent company, we have self-funded this project and aim to release Episode 2 on Steam, iOS and Android.
