2014 is almost over. That means it's time to vote for IndieDB's game of the year!

Posted by on

As 2014 comes to a close, so naturally the best games sites and portals around the globe are starting to evaluate the last 12 months and determine the highs and lows of the year.

The good news for us is, TerraTech has the potential to do quite well in these end of year reviews. After picking up Best New IP from a Small Studio at the UK’s TIGA Awards last month, we’re now up for Indie Game of the Year right here at IndieDB – and the best news is, you get to decide whether we win or not!

That means that, over the next few days, we’re going to knocking on each and every one of your doors to either sweet talk you or threaten you into voting for us. We’ll be leaving bunches of roses on your doorstep, or – if you still refuse to give us your support – a horse’s head on your pillow. Well, probably one of those rubber masks you get from novelty shops, anyway.

So, if you want to save us from all that time and effort (so we can carry on making the game, of course), then please hop on over to the voting page on IndieDB. There are 10,000 games in all up for the honour, so each and every vote is going to count.(We were joking about the horse’s head. Honest.)

I have only played the beta (obviously) and I got very annoyed by some serious, game breaking bugs like a partially disappearing base and corrupted save files. Still, I did vote for this game because (especially as a programmer) I very well knew what I was getting myself into by buying an in-development game, and I do think the gameplay is very promising and addictive!

I'll be waiting for my roses :)
