SurviveRL (working title) is NOT another survival first person game. Read on please. It is a concept where the world persists around the player. Actions have cause and effect. Killing an enemy, helping a creature can generate an outcome much later in the game. Multiplayer and modding support are part of the building blocks to the code, making for replayability and extensibility. There will be a single player campaign/story mode also.
A shot to show the current status on the terrain texturing engine under development for SurviveRL. The lighting and shadows are realtime calculated, not baked. They move in sync with the time of day and night and location of the sun and moon in the sky.
As mentioned in a recent news post, here is a 1920x1080 shot of the current shader level of detail being worked on for the game.
You can compare this to one of the recent shots, notably the attacks with dragons, where the terrain isnt so mapped. Hopefully, the new terrain engine will make the game more detailed visually.
