A 3D aerial shmup that's choreographed to music. Substream is an abstract shooter where you battle the waves of attacking enemies. But it's not that simple, because space is wrapped. Enemies appear in multiple positions ahead of you, and your lone fighter ship is a squadron stretching off to infinity. Expect to be flanked by enemies that are right in front of you. Every level in the game has been animated with a different musical genre and the entire environment is dynamic. Terrain and scenery morphs and pulses with the rhythms, melodies and themes of the soundtrack. Substream is being developed for Windows PC.

I've just released version 1.1 of Substream. This fixes a couple of issues with the intial release.

The first is the progression. Substream has two aircraft, "Sonata" is the shiny chrome one, and "Alto" is the black gem-like one which represents a harder difficulty with a weaker shield and trickier controls. Alto is now part of the bonus menu features, and not something you have to beat to unlock the bonus menu. This means you get to the unlock the bonus features quicker, which includes an option to install the MP3 soundtrack.

The second set of fixes concern the game failing to run at some resolutions when Windows desktop scaling is active. I won't go into the boring details, but if you've had any issue getting the game to work at higher resolutions this version should contain the fix you need.
